Dr. Emilia Baldoza Pacariem, MD

I brought my 13 year old daughter to Dr. Pacariem and she is unprofessional, rude, and very intimidating. My insurance would only cover this gyn and no other in Ocala. The Medical Assistant took my daughters vital signs and then told my daughter to fully undress and put a gown on for examination. I refused to allow my daughter to do that as we were there for advice for pms. I then heard the medical assistant tell Dr. Pacariem my daughter refuses the exam and Dr. Pacariem said that’s the way the world is going and walked into my room. First of all she talked about a patient in the hallway. Then Dr. Pacariem walks in and says what’s the problem? She did not introduce herself, nothing. I explained what was going on with my daughter with the pms and we wanted advice and how to handle it. She said well I have to do a full examination and my daughter needs to get undressed. My daughter started crying as this was intimidating. Next she tells my daughter that she is a doctor and she is not… doing anything mischievous while examining her. Then she says would you rather go to a male doctor to look at you. I said well I see Dr. (blank) and have no issues. She is rude and intimidating and I would never recommend her to anyone. I got up and told my daughter we are leaving. We walked out of the office and told the office manager I am filing a complaint with the State of Florida. How dare her put my 13 year old daughter in tears with her intimidation! And another red flag was the fact that she has open appointments every day. If she was any good, her appointments would be booked.

I just made an appointment with hesitation after speaking to staff. Staff was rude and acted as if they were doing me a favor. When I do go for appt if I'm greeted with same unfriendly attitude I will turn around and walk out! I have a second appt made just in case! What happened to friendliness, smiles and customer service ?

I was referred to this doctor by my primary care physician, after them finding a large cyst on one of my ovaries. I've been bleeding heavily for months and have been experiencing a lot of pain. Dr Pacariem had no bedside manner at all, asking me why I've waited so long to go to a doctor, so that now "I want HER to fix my problem." Isn't that what a doctor is for? She never addressed my reason for the visit (the large cyst on my ovary) Actually said that due to my weight she could not "feel" a cyst. But she did not do any kind of further exam. Overall, I felt belittled by this doctor and I feel that it was a total waste of time. I spent a week waiting for this appointment, nervous about what was going to be done about this large cyst, and then Dr Pacariem treats my concerns as invalid.

Dr. Pacariem takes time with me whenever I have to see her. I never feel "rushed". She is very friendly & listens to your concerns --a very good doctor & I would recommend her, without hesitation.

Have been going to Dr. Pacariem for 30 years and she is wonderful. Now my daughter and I both go for our annual check up. Appreciate everything see does for her patients.
