Excellent surgeon and excellent staff. Bedside manner is cordial but focused. No hint of the typical physician arrogance, condescension, or polite indifference. Obvious that he holds himself to the highest medical standards. If I have to have another aortic valve replacement in the future, and he is still practicing, he will be the man to do it.

Dr. Lewis and his team repaired my mitral valve with the di VInci Medical robot. Everyone who took care of me did an excellent job. I never felt like I was in trouble and no one was there for me. The team works well together and has a healthy regard for the patient that help a great deal in the preparations, surgery, and recovery. If you need this kind of work done, I recommend that you consider Dr. Lewis and Princeton Baptist.

Dr. Lewis was great from the very beginning. His entire staff was so supportive. The surgery went really well and was minimally invasive. His recovery from the surgery has been very good. His mental state has declined because of being put to sleep for the AVR. His Alztheimer's has gotten worse and Dr. Lewis keeps telling us it will get better. Dr. Lewis sent us home with nurses coming to our home to check on his condition. Even PT and Occupational Therapy nurses came and evaluated him and immediately released him. His recovery from heart surgery has been amazing. Dr. Lewis actually called us at home to see how we were doing. We would recommend him to anyone. He is thorough, confident and has a wonderful bedside manner. We are blessed to call him our friend.

My Mother had an appt. with him 08/31/10 and I found him to be very easy to talk to and he did not beat around the bush about her condition. He did not recommend surgery due to her age (92) and general health conditions at this time. We went hoping that he could give my Mother more time to live but sadly that is not to be.I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone.
