Dr. Curtis Lee Buchheit, MD

I’ve tried for three weeks to make appointments for my sick children that are established patients. Find a practice that has time, has a voicemail that is occasionally checked (and calls returned if it wasn’t full when you call), and staff that care about children. There is so much I could say about the past 3 months of care we have (or rather haven’t) received from this office. Negligence!

As a mom of 3 and also an RN I have to say I’m very relieved to find a physician who can think outside the box. Curtis is fabulous with educating my kids at their level, also.

Dr. Curtis is so much more than a regular doctor. I felt like he really listened to me - he put into words how I was feeling about the issue we were there for. It was amazing to be treated like a whole person & not just a symptom to be treated. Also - I felt like he looked at all the symptoms/me as a whole...not just the one thing I was there for. It feels like he's trying to get to the root cause instead of just treating symptoms with meds. I actually look forward to seeing the doctor now - I learn something every time.

Over time, I've come to despise going to the doctor because of the hassle of scheduling, the long wait once you arrive, capped off by a doc that spends more time looking at his or her computer than at me. My recent experience with Curtis (he genuinely prefers to go by his first name) was the complete opposite. Everyone in the office was friendly and helpful, there was virtually no wait time, and he ACTUALLY listened to me without staring at a computer! Two days later, he sent an email to see how I was feeling. This is the way medicine should be done.

Dr. Buchheit is the best Dr. I have ever had in a long time. You do not find a very good Dr's that listen to you and cares about how you feel. He always went out of his way to help you and he make sure you don't leave his office unless you understand what is going on. He is very kind, and very thorough and really knows you.

This doctor is scary. He would rather be right about his diagnosis than to admit he's wrong and save your life. He does not put his patients first.
