Dr. Curtis William Byrnes, DO

My entire family are patients for 10+ years. He was as good with my toddlers as his is now with me and my teenagers. He genuinely listens and explains things in an easy to understand manner. And Joan somehow manages to run the whole place by herself - phone calls, scheduling, answering questions, checkout. Can't say enough good things and wouldn't trust my family's health to anyone else.

Family was seeing Dr Byrnes but left when we moved out of State. Love his professionalism and great attitude. However Joan, his front desk staff. Is so rude and ignorant. Faxed on 2 separate occasions a request for medical records to be transferred, and they never were. Even called to follow up and still were not sent. Was visiting the area and thought to stop in to say hello and sign a release form and Joan, the front desk Gestappo, sent my husband back to the car and made him call her instead. She refused to let him come into the office to give her the information. He was happy to see everyone and thought to say hello and the rude and ignorant Joan could have cared less. My husband is too nice, however, and did not want me to unleash my full fury on her. This was a good thing because I was so angry at her rude and condescending attitude that she would have been cringing under her desk once I was through with her.

The doctor is very thorough. The front desk lady is very abrasive.

Dr is great, but the receptionist is awful. Both in person and on the phone she is extremely rude and I professional. she's so unpleasant it makes me not want to even come back.

I have a very critical issue and the front desk person, Joan, is not friendly. I am afraid to call back and ask when I can have my appointmemt... she chews your head off. Not leaving because of Dr. Byrnes, but because of her

Going to Dr Curtis Byrnes for over 15 years. He is the Best family physician that we know. He takes the time out for you and explains everything down to our level without all the doctor words. I have recommended him to many people. Joan his nurse is the backbone of the office. She keeps everyone on their toes. We love her. She will always go out of her way to get you whatever information needed for your issues.. I just can't say enough about the family practice.

My family and I have been seeing Dr. Byrnes for nearly ten years. He is a wonderful doctor and has always been very pleasant and friendly. The only reason I cringe when I have to schedule an appointment is knowing that I will have to speak with his receptionist. As I've seen noted in reviews both on this site and others, she is rude and condescending. It's a shame that she's the gatekeeper to such a nice doctor.

First off, I've been with Dr. Byrnes for over 3 years. I looked for a PCP for two before I found him. A great feature of his office is that he has late hours during the week for people who can't call out of work to go and see him. He's very thorough, and a lot of the time he will just sit and chat with you. I've have since moved over an hour away, but I will still be seeing Dr Byrnes.
