Dr. Curtis Matthew Jantzi, DO

I have been under Dr Jantzi’s care for over 14 years and during all that time he has been outstanding in his compassion, his knowledge and his willingness to listen and work towards the best options for my medical issues. I can only recommend him with the highest regard and respect.

Too busy to see his patients. He has been my doctor for year and over the last year every time I have an appointment they call and reschedule the day off. I have not seen him since 2021 and it’s July 2023. They tell me to go to the urgent care every time. Finding another doctor ASAP. Wouldn’t recommend him.

Too busy to see his patients. He puts his patients on lots of medication and changes them frequently. Staff is rude and uncaring. I wouldn’t bother with this office. Find a doctor and staff that really cares.

I was a patient of Dr Judith White at HMG in Kingsport for 16 years. During that time I had been told I had a renal cyst but did not have kidney disease. After she left I was transferred to Dr. Jantzi. In 2018 I left and got a physician in Johnson City where I had moved. Upon reading my medical records it says I have stage 3 kidney disease. This was never discussed with me regarding treatment, diet etc.Even when I did a 24-hour urine test and did not have enough urine was anything mentioned. Yesterday I had a visit with my new doctor and I mentioned what my records said and I do have stage 3 kidney disease. Within the past 2 years I got a call from the office who told me of this (I didn't believe her, and that she had the wrong person) and that my physician would be discussing it with me at my next visit. Neither Dr..Jantzi or Shane Daniels ever discussed the fact that I had stage 3 kidney disease with me. I could have done my best to do everything possible to help my kidneys if I had… known how serious it is. I had not been happy with my care after Dr. White left. I also found out that Dr. Jantzi lied to me when I asked a question about who changed my medicine. So therefore I rate Dr. Jantzi with one star.

Avery dedicated and professionally equipped Doctor, who engages a patient to participate in his physical status. He talks with, not consistently to a patient, and makes a maximum effort to offer a treatment which is compatible with a patients lifestyle.

He is not thorough enough in his exams for my needs. He does have a caring personality, but I need someone who is thorough.

Please be aware....He is great in the office but has no time after you leave for questions over the phone! His nurses are slow to return phone calls and don't seem too concerned with resolving issues without appointments. Nice folks but not in the right line of work!

He's simply the best! Along with Tina and Jennifer Walker in their roles! If anyone says anything about this Family of Professional and Caring People, they obviously have some kind of problem!

Dr. Jantzi is a true doctor! He listens, he is compassionate, he is knowledgeable, and he works hard to get you better by using all sources available. He isn't all about writing a prescription to offset the symptoms... he truly wants you to GET better, not just FEEL better. Trust in a doctor is very important to me because I have so many things wrong with me. I know that if Dr. Jantzi says it, it is in my best interest to do it. I am so thankful to have such a wonderful doctor and I would HIGHLY recommend him to anyone searching for a good one. One more thing, I lost my job and had no insurance for a while and then was able to get TennCare. He treated me the same, and if possible even better than when I had insurance. That means a lot because as I said, I have a lot going on medically and I saw firsthand how when you say "I no longer have insurance" or "I now have TennCare" some doctors whole demeanor changed. HMG, please don't let this one get away!!!

Before Jantzi I went to a another doctor in Kingsport. That doctor never listened. Dr Jantzi will listen to you and then treat you. He helped me out tremendously.
