He was my doc for several years. I wasn't a fan of him at first, I thought he was arrogant but it's not arrogance, he's just direct & doesn't sugar-coat things. I had several issues I needed to get real about. If he wasn't real with me about these issues, I never would have gotten better. You have to want to get better. He doesn't let you slide away with excuses, which can seem arrogant to someone in denial (like I was at first) but it's actually an effective technique. Over time, I went from blaming him for all my problems, to fully changing my whole life for the better. It wasn't overnight & it wasn't a quick process but I wouldn't be where I'm at now had I not had the help of Dr. Tohtz.If you want actual real help, go see Dr. Tohtz. I'm 13+ years clean & I know it's due to Dr. Tohtz's help.

Rude, arrogant, had completely wrong information on why I was there! Spends 5 minutes with you, just like other folks said. It's disgraceful that he is allowed to practice the way he does. You will NOT get better under his care. Please choose anyone else but him!

He is terrible. He’s rude. He’s arrogant. He talks down to you and is just a horrible person. He keeps you waiting for half an hour then spends 5 minutes (seriously) with you. I read his notes and he claims to spend half an hour or an hour but that’s a lie. He also put completely false information in my notes. Pretty sure he just makes stuff up since he wouldn’t know since he doesn’t spend any time with you. He was so rude and disrespectful. I had to switch doctors because I was going to end up punching him in the face. Absolutely awful. Shame on you, VA! Veterans deserve better. Also I’m pretty sure all the good ratings he did himself. Notice the pattern of the bad ones.
