Dr. Dan A Zlotolow, MD

Dan A. Zlotolow, M.D., FAOA, a board certified orthopaedic hand and upper extremity surgeon who specializes in complex surgical procedures to treat pediatric and adult patients who have suffered nerve injuries and those living with congenital conditions of the upper limb. Dr. Zlotolow’s practice focuses on the care of cervical spinal cord injuries, peripheral nerve injuries, amputations, upper limb sequelae of stroke and traumatic brain injury, arthrogryposis, pediatric brachial plexus and congenital differences of the upper limb. His collaborative approach to care and research has made him a highly sought after national and international lecturer, educator, clinician, and research partner. Dr. Zlotolow has published more than 60 peer reviewed journal articles, 2 books, and 50 book chapters. He has organized more than 20 meetings and courses, lectured and served as a visiting professor on nearly every continent, and mentored more than 100 Hand Surgery fellows. Dr. Zlotolow believes in …providing his patients with the latest technology and techniques, while at the same time basing his practice on the best science available. As an innovator, he has developed multiple surgical techniques, and holds multiple U.S. and international patents. He received his undergraduate degree with honors in biology from Haverford College and earned a medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine with early induction into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. Dr. Zlotolow completed his residency in Orthopaedics at the Montefiore Medical Center in New York and hand fellowship at The Roosevelt Hospital in New York City. He received his training in nerve and pediatric hand and upper limb surgery at The Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children in Dallas and The Shriners Hospital for Children of Philadelphia.
