Dr. Alan Edward Cooper, MD

Nice dr. Got recommendation for striof injection on the wrist suffering from de quervain syndrome due to exercise. The injection didnt fix anything. Pain is there still. Called and asked if Incan get a call back. Was told I need another appointment to do that. I didnt book

I am a 23 year old male that had injured my shoulder while bench pressing. Dr. Cooper was the first doctor I saw. After performing tests on me he jumped to the conclusion that I had a “SLAP Tear”. Because of insurance issues, my first step was physical therapy before an MRI could be obtained. After a month or so I got the MRI and brought it back to Dr. Cooper’s office. At first the MRI mysteriously wouldn’t work on their computers. Then once it “worked” a few days later the doctor told me “I don’t see anything on your MRI.” At this point a few months had past and I was still in pain daily. On my next appointment when the doctor tried to perform the same tests on me I was clearly grimacing and when I told him “I feel it (pain)”. He chuckled at me and said “what do you feel?” This made me feel uncomfortable. When I would mention things that the physical therapists had suggested to me he would smile again and chuckle and say “I don’t know anything about that.” He then said I needed to see… a neurologist and it took me a few more weeks to get testing done there. Before I left the office that day the assistants seemed to have lost my MRI, telling each other they were the last one that had it. Anyway, Dr. Cooper basically dumped me off after my 3 appointments to seemingly get out of his sight. It is now 5 months since my injury and I have seen my 3rd doctor who was shocked that I had not yet been given a cortisone shot for a traumatic AC joint injury that clearly was apparent on my MRI. I haven’t seen Dr. Cooper in over a month and still haven’t heard from him or his office. Bottom line I’m very dissatisfied with his services and hope to never hear back from his office again, knowing now what I know about my injury.

My first knee surgery was done by another surgeon. I was in pain for 7 months after my surgery. My first surgeon wasn't concerned about my condition. I was in so much pain it was preventing me from normal life activities. Finally my wife sent me to see Dr. Cooper for second opinion. Dr. Cooper operated on my knee and right after surgery I was back to normal, for me it was like winning a lottery. Dr. Cooper is a compationat and caring physician. He listens and spends time with his patients. He is an excellent surgeon. I highly recommend Dr. Cooper!

Dr. Cooper had to perform an emergency radial head replacement on me after I had an accident. He did an excellent job and follow up was very good as well.

My visit with him went horribly wrong. I ended up seeing another doctor

Dr Cooper was very concered about my well being and I am back to playing sports at the same level I was before the surgery.
