DR. Furst is an extraordinary doctor, he is very knowledgeable and thorough.

Dr. Furst treats every aspect of my chronic illness and also discusses my home life and mental health. I have been seeing him for about 10 years and he has literally saved my life. My home town docs will support his treatment protocol because of his world renowned reputation. He travels a lot so you have to plan ahead for appointments but when he is with you he makes you feel like you are the only patient on his schedule that day. He is one of the most compassionate doctors I have worked with. No matter what issue I raise he knows all the pros and cons. I am alive today because of him.

Excellent and thorough. Catches whatever another physician misses. Looks at a patient as a whole not a disease..listens .. Asks questions about all aspects of life. Not a cookie-cutter, one size fits all physician. Takes a personal interest. Staff relects his caring and professionalism.

I've been to several physicians in the past couple of years and to be honest this physician is dedicated, knowledgeable, and committed to excellence in his profession. This is very unusual to see this type of commitment in a insurance dominated society.

I had been to 6 top Rheumatologists in the Los Angeles area in a span of six years before my retiring Rheumatoligist got me a referral to see Dr. Furst. My life has changed so dramatically since I have become his patient. I now no longer spend most of my day crying because of unbearable pain and feel assured that I am receiving the most up to date treatment for my Rheumatoid arthritis. He is always on time and spends at least 30 minutes to an hour with me at each appointment. Always caring and listens with interest to what I have to say. Consistently thorough in his checks of not only my RA symptoms but the disease progression in relation to my total health. I love the staff and am treated with the up most care and respect. Yes it can be frustrating to be at a big institution sometimes but it is so worth it to have the chance to be treated by this top notch doctor and to have access to the latest treatments.

I found Dr. Furst to be caring and thorough. He is ordering a battery of tests to carefully assess my condition and is planning to monitor monthly and review treatment after all the tests (MRI, repeated bloodwork, etc.) are done. He has a great "bedside" manner and, although extremely busy, made time for me on his schedule for reexamination.
