Dr. Daniel M. Kwon, MD

I’ve been seeing Dr Kwon for help with pain management for 10 years and hope he’ll be my dr for the remainder of my life as he’s amazing! I’ve been to many pain specialists for over 17 years including seeing a renowned pain specialist at the Pain Center/Univ of WA 2 to 3 times a week for a month. Dr Kwon is the best by far! He is either a genius, has been given a sixth sense no other doctor has been blessed with or is just a very lucky guy but he brings me relief every time he does an injection—sometimes it lasts a few months and sometimes a few years. The Seattle drs told me knowing where to inject can be like finding a needle in a haystack. Their injections never brought more than a couple hours of relief if that. Dr Kwon is a very compassionate listener. He never disrespects or talks down to me. He takes time to describe what he will do and answer any questions until I understand. He suggests new treatment modalities that have been very helpful. I trust him implicitly. He does not… take offense if I question him on a change in medication fully explaining why he decreased one RX and increased another. He knows his stuff and I trust him implicitly to safely manage my pain while giving me the best quality of life. I greatly respect Dr Kwon and can’t say enough about him. He covers at least three counties so I’m sure his staff wishes he could be cloned. Yet he treats each patient as if they are his one and only patient that day and never shows the stress of his job which must be tremendous. He has a congenial friendly manner and a great sense of humor. I love him!

Dr. Kwon listens to his patients, and refers them to excellent surgeons when necessary.

I’ve been a patient of Dr Kwon’s for a very long time now. I saw that practice’s founder starting after an accident in 2007, though I’m not sure exactly when I transitioned over to Dr Kwon. Anyway, at least 8 years now, I think. I’ve seen a number of doctors over the years, since my spine injury in 2006. I had three surgeries, including two fusions, by other doctors (one ortho surgeon, one neurological surgeon). I saw several “pain doctors” as well, both anesthesiologists and physiatrists. Of every doctor I have ever seen, I cannot think of a single one I both respect and like more than Danny Kwon! He is unbelievably smart, and is willing to explain things to me on a scientific level, open and honestly, without talking down to me or wasting time. That said, he spends absolutely as much time as you need him to with each patient. He and I decided on which steps were next, which modalities to try. He immediately prescribed pain medication for me, but we also did… injections of various sorts, Physical Therapy, and other stuff. We tried a rhizotomy, but that didn’t work very well. And all the time he kept RXing medication. I wanted off the drugs, if possible, but was scared of the pain. Finally he suggested it was time to try a spinal cord stimulator trial, and we did that last summer. I had 50-75% pain control, so he implanted my permanent one two months ago. He’s been so great to me all these years, and when I saw him out at a reataurant with his family, I didn’t want to bug him, so I just sat with my family. It was HE who came over to say hi and ask how I was feeling, and he introduced himself to my daughter as “Danny Kwon.” The man has absolutely ZERO ego! I just cannot day enough good things about Dr Kwon, and how lucky we are to have him here (I generally see him in Ellensburg)!! I think those who are leaving negative reviews need to do some soul-searching and admit to themselves they have a problem. Dr Kwon won’t sacrific his practice for opiate addicts or drug-seekers, so I can see him cutting off people who are abusing the system. If you are a pain patient and Dr Kwon cut you off, you need to self-reflect now.

Dr kwon over bills your insurance on the premise of documenting a reason to percribe necessary pain meds ie I have no knees can't walk major back surgery he has caused many tens of thousands of dollars in unnecessary office visits and blood and urine tests all at your the patient expense the he abruptly stops because he's afraid to do his job and wants to sacrifice a few to show government regulators that he will drop people even if there is no good valid reason

Dr. Kwon is the absolute best doctor that I've received care from after hurting my back. He genuinely cares for your well being, long term care & prognosis, he makes sure your loved ones are doing well emotionally & makes time to answer all your questions & concerns. He's super honest, not afraid to tell it like it is so you can make educated decisions. I'm so thankful for Dr. Kwon & his staff.

he has you on a good level of pain control then he decides to pull his power move and then leaves you in aga oy for 8 months plus

Awesome Dr. Really listens

Dr. Kwon listens to me. He is one of those doctors that doesn't think 'it's all in your head'. He orders all the necessary tests- Ct's, MRI's, etc. He tries different medications, injections, physical therapy, etc. He is the most caring pain doctor a patient like me could ask for. He is patient. I can tell he really enjoys his job helping patients in need of excellent and state of the art care. If he's not 100% sure he'll make the appropriate referrals to a specialist in town or Seattle depending on the patient's preference. I would highly recommend Dr. Kwon to my family and friends.
