Dr. Daniel John Legault, MD

When my previous nephrologist retired, Renal Associates offered me a list of nephrologists that were available to take me as a patient. After all my questions were answered, all of their doctors seemed well qualified, so I asked which of the doctors were active cyclists (I'm an endurance cyclist -- I've done a number of 500 mile, 5 day bicycle trips, and a number of 300+ mile, 24 hour bicycle rides.) Two of the doctors were cyclists, and after a few more followup questions I selected Dr. Legault as most similar to the type of riding that I do, and (I hoped) most likely to have extra in-depth knowledge of how my cycling and triathlon would affect my renal health. Dr. Legault has been my primary nephrologist for nearly 10 years now, and under his care I was able to prolong my renal health until much longer than any other member of my family who has had PKD. Plus, I always love to talk about bicycling with him!
