Dr. Daniel Mark Lieberman, MD

A client of mine has a HORROR story that needs to be heard about this doctor. This was over 8 years ago but the person had went in for what he thought was a 45 minute procedure and injections. Next thing you know they cut his spine in half. He reached out to an attorney to help him sue the doctor, he filed a complaint against this doctor, and wrote the hospital a letter regarding what happened. The attorneys acted as if they had a case and they had the patients side. I am no attorney but from what the patient told me is that you only have two years to file the complaint against the doctor for wrong doing. The attorney at the last minute dropped him as a client leaving him stranded and now with out a case since he could not file a claim past a certain time. He was led to believe that these attorneys were paid off. Fast forward to today he cannot feel one leg entirely and his entire life has changed since the procedure from the doctor. Justice should be served for this person and people… need to hear what was happened. I read the other reviews on the thread and it sounds like other people have had bad and life changing surgeries with this doctor. I would HEAVILY consider moving forward with surgery and doing more research on this and any doctor for that matter. I felt compelled to share this story that was shared with me today by this past patient.

Lieberman promised surgery would fix my back problems. Had first surgery and he said give it more time. After 3 months he said I needed another surgery to burn my nerves after the disc fusion did not work. I'm in more pain than before and now I have nerve damage on my right leg all the way down to my foot. He was supposed to change my life for the better, not worse. I've told him my situation and he does not want to fix what he made worse. I've tried to find another doctor to help me since he doesn't want to and I can't find a doctor to help because I've had 2 failed surgeries. I wish I could go back and not have had the surgeries.

As a former patient of Dr. Teff and Dr. Lieberman, I have both positive and negative to say. I will make this a short as possible. It was recommended to me by my arthritis Dr. to go for an MRI as I complained about pain in my back. He said it was probably my lumbar. After reviewing the results, he suggested I go see a Pain Management professional and they could make recommendations. I had Lumbar stenosis. The Pain Mgmt. pro suggested injections, turning that down, she suggested I see a Neurologist not an Orthopedic Dr. After reviewing Neurologist on line, I chose Phoenix Spine for two reasons. Their reviews at that time were 4.8 and located ~15 miles from home. I called Phoenix Spine, spoke to a “Spine Consultant”, it was 3 weeks before I received a return call. Honestly, I do not recall how long it was before I was seen by Dr. Lieberman. He is a kind, caring man, he explained the procedure and as seen on TV, it’s quick, tiny scar, quick recovery, no big deal. Sounded good.… When I received the call to schedule surgery, I was told I had to wait until Dec. (4 months), unless I had it done at their clinic. However, my insurance covers every thing but surgery must to be in a hospital, not a private facility. Next response, was that Dr. Teff was starting, if I remember right, in 3 weeks…she explained is experience and will be a partner, etc. Desperate to be out of pain, we made the appointment for surgery. In the end, I had a leak due to the surgery! Four mos. went by, Dr. Lieberman performs corrective surgery, another leak of a different kind. I had several treatments to stop the leak. I am left with a nightmare of pain, almost constant. I see an excellent Chiropractor and Osteopath on a regular basis. They received the records from Phoenix Spine, they saw the damage that has been done. I have had PRP injections, CBD Oil, Lidocaine injections; just can’t stand 1 more injection. I’m done. I can’t stand the idea of being poked 1 more time. Not only do I love to walk but walked miles at a time, often. I Ballroom danced for years, that is until about 3 years ago. Not long ago on two separate occasions, I fell in two different stores. When the pain comes on, it’s fast, my knee gives way, there I go. My life has changed drastically due to these surgeries. BTW, when waiting for a return call, don’t hold your breath.

4 weeks post procedure I feel a little bit better during the day but I am having excruciating pain getting in and out of bed and trying to turn over in bed.

The doctor and staff were friendly and very informative regarding my injury. Time was taken to get full diagnosis of injury. Surgery was scheduled when all the facts were in.

My experience with Dr. Lieberman and his staff was excellent from start to finish. Dr. Lieberman's positive attitude and expertise is what sold me on moving forward with treatment. His diagnosis pointed me in a direction that previous doctors/chiropractors had not and it opened my eyes to what was really going on with my pain. I am so happy I came across him and decided to make that first appointment. I have been dealing with pain for 3yrs and now, it's gone! This is truly and game changer for me and my life! And I have Dr. Lieberman to thank for that. Also his staff/nurses were phenomenal. The DVR being my first surgery ever was such a breeze because of how knowledgeable and nice everyone was. Especially nurse Tracy. She really helped to walked me through the whole process and prepare me for it with her super sweet and positive personality. Choosing Phoenix Spine was definitely a great decision!!

Everyone was extremely helpful and caring. They made me feel like I was their top priority. I will highly recommend Phoenix Spine to family, friends and acquaintances. Dr. Lieberman is amazing. He is very patient, kind beyond measures and he fills you with knowledge and hope. Dr. Lieberman gave me my life back and I will always be thankful for him. I wish I would have contacted Dr. Lieberman sooner. He contacted me right after viewing my MRI and scheduled me for surgery 4 days later. My entire experience, from anyone that has called me before and after surgery, nurse's, front desk, Dr. Lieberman, anesthesiologist, everyone who helped me, staff that said hello as they past me, all were incredibly professional and extremely kind. I went with a lot of anxiety but the minute I walked in the door my experience was perfect. Thank you so much, Phoenix Spine!!

Very caring. I needed to really trust a doctor who is going to operate for 8 1/2 hrs. After seeing numerous neurosurgeons I felt confident in his ability.
