A heartbreaking experience. After waiting 40 mins, the doctor was cruel and dismissive. He even seemed angry that we were asking his opinion on our daughter's condition. Three doctors told us to see an orthopedist, but he told us she needs a psychiatrist! He walked out of the appointment and told us we were wasting his time. It was the most discouraging experience we have had on this health journey for our daughter who has Ehler's Danlos syndrome and has lost all quality of life. We just want answers, and we would have understood if he didn't have what we were looking for, but he could have said that with empathy and compassion. Instead, he made us feel accused of doing something wrong by even making the appointment or pursuing real answers.

Where do I begin… this Doc is the Chick-fil-A of McDonalds. I’ve seen him in action due to my profession and when it came time to getting my knee taken care of I knew he was the best for the job. If anyone needs knee surgery along with a team that is there to support I highly recommend Dr. Lamar. Best Ortho Doc around in my own opinion!

It been a horrible road. I have never seen doctors notes where things are listed that have not been evaluated. The sad thing is that you wait over an hour to see doctor and then they don’t even spend 15 min. with you. That does not give you anytime to learn about your patient and you should really listen and hear your patient when they tell you something is wrong. I went in for him to check swelling in my under arm shoulder area and he completely focused on something else. I am losing faith in the doctors around here To figure out what is going on. I have been put into physical therapy for 6-8 weeks which makes my shoulder hurt worse but I still go to see if anything changes. I am so over all of this right now. I don’t feel like Dr Lumar really gets to know his patients. He puts on a great show but I feel the sincerity is not there. On another note, don’t ever request doctor notes, I always submit 2 and 3 request to get doctors notes to send to my disability and I literally always… have to go in to get copies. Hopefully someone will read this and give some feed back. Supposedly an email was wrote to the director to call me in regards to my concerns but never received a phone call.

It has been over a year since my hip replacement, I still have a 1 “ discrepancy and a need lift on my shoes, and I still have pain. I knew there was a problem, but DR. Larmar pastes it off, saying I needed more time.

As a physician, Dr. Lamar was the first person I thought of when my 5 year old daughter hurt her shoulder. He diagnosed a clavicle fracture that 2 urgent care docs and 2 radiologists had missed. He and his staff were fantastic with her. She felt very comfortable and is now back to running around and wreaking havoc at home.

Dr. Lamar & his incredible staff distinguish themselves amongst all the healthcare professionals I have ever met! He, Jason, Brea and a support staff of all star experts remove all the anxiety associated with decisions about joint replacement. They clearly set expectations, and confirm your understanding and use a conservative approach prior to moving to surgery as the answer. Post surgical support was outstanding. My surgical experience on 11/1/17 leaves me optimistic about good hip health!

When I went there the doctor was ok..... but good luck getting a refund when they overcharge you - which they do! I seen the doctor the last week of June. My insurance paid them and they STILL havent even told me when I will get a refund. They said it will be 1-2 months before I get a refund and that they can not tell me how much it will be. I assume they are all getting their GED's so they can interpret an EOB! I would avoid this office if fornthat reason alone!

Twelve weeks ago I had a Total Knee Replacement. Dr. Daniel Lamar performed the surgery and I want to say that he and his team are absolutely wonderful. He explained my options clearly and once I decided on the TKR, he worked with his scheduling team to help me accomplish the surgery and have more than sufficient time for rehab before we headed back north. The surgery went flawlessly and the recovery has been easier than expected. For sure, there have been episodes of significant pain, but I have been able to cope with proper medication. His PA Jason Lee and Assistant Brea were both tremendous and were readily available before and after the surgery. All three exhibited a truly caring attitude completely focused on outstanding patient care. I am absolutely delighted that I selected Dr Lamar and his team to help me with my knee problem. In addition, I was very impressed with Lakewood Ranch Hospital and their attention to preventing infection. This facility is a great place to have the… surgery and start the recovery. If you are considering knee surgery or simply want to understand your options, I would strongly encourage you to have a conversation with Dr. Lamar. It will definitely be worth your time! And if you decide to go forward with a TKR, go with the best, Dr. Lamar.

Dr Lamar performed total left hip replacement surgery on me 5 years ago which was a complete success. So much so that I now volunteer at Lakewood Ranch Medical Center assisting his patients who have had knee and hip replacements with their physical therapy.
