Dr. Dario Lorenzo Lizarraga

The front office staff leave a lot to be desired the NEVER let you finish before they cut you off; the referral coordinator should have criminal charges as she does NOT work the referrals and guess what people are super sick or die. Doctor Lizarraga is top notch, but he needs to let go of his front office "good ole boys" staff (most of them related to each other) and have an efficient operating staff.

If you want to see this doctor be prepared to fork over $1800 a year plus your insurance and copay. Dr LIZARRAGA has forgotten his own mission statement and cares more about money than his patients.

I agree with other reviewers that wait times and appointments are less than optimal but Doctor Lizarraga is an excellent physician. Always full of news not only in the medical arena but others as well. In my opinion, if one finds a truly competent caregiver, especially one that is very likeable, one stays with that person and I highly, highly, highly recommend this Doctor. I have beeen seeing Dr. Lizarraga regularly for roughly three years and would never change unless forced to. I also would like to say that I see some unfavorable comments about staff and again, I could not dissagree more. I have found all members of the staff competent, friendly, and usually available without undue delay.

The wait time is a bit long. Also very busy where it takes 3 months to get an appointment. Some of the staff is rude but most are nice. But overall he is a great doctor. Highly qualified. Very knowledgeable. Really cares about the patience.

The doctor is very professional and nice, however the rest of the staff is a different story. The office manager actually yelled at me when I was very nice to her. The wait times are horrible. I've spent 2 1/2 hours after my appointment time in the waiting room more than a few times. I have asked for a refill of week worth of prescription until the next available appointment and I can see the doctor. I do not have a refill until my appointment so I have no prescription left because they will not call it in. Would NOT recommend.

I really like him, but quit going to see Dr. Lizarraga after he got so busy you had to make an appt. a month in advance. He has two PA's who can see you immediately, but one throws pills at you for every ailment and the other rolls his eyes when you have an opinion. Also, wait time is atrocious!
