Dr. Darrel James Bell, MD

He's not a very competant Dr.. He is unable or unwilling to perform very simple procedures. I would not recommend any POC see him for care. I am completely disappointed with his care.

I can’t say enough about how wonderful Dr. Bell is as a provider for women’s health and maternal medicine. I have been under his care for 5 years and counting. He came highly recommended for an initial infertility work up. He has a very professional and comforting bedside manner. He always makes time to answer my questions and put my concerns at ease, not downplaying or marginalizing them. He managed my fertility treatments, was there for me during my long, tough labor of my first child and performed my two cecerean sections. I trust him with my life and truly believe he wants nothing more than the very best care for his patients.

He cut a 2 inch hole in my bladder and never even noticed sent me home that way

He is amazing, helpful and calming. Im 12 weeks pregnant and had the worst experience with my previous doctor so i was so nervous.. he shared his knowledge in such a great way I understand everything. I wont go to anyone else he was kind, caring and brilliant I'm so grateful to have him as a doctor.

I have gone to Dr. Bell for several years and have felt that I was in very capable care. Vickie, his nurse is so very kind and knowledgeable also. It was always a pleasant experience when I saw them.

After a year in not conceiving we went to dr bell. He did a full routine exams and found that I had a cervical Polyp. The Polyp was removed and everything went very well during and after the surgery. A few years later there was reason to have a d&c done. The dr couldn't even find the scar from the removed Polyp. I am now in my second trimester of pregnancy and am really hopeful my that dr bell is the one who will deliver our baby.

I could not stand this doctor. He was border line cruel to me about being a single mother and also told me that I was too fat for him to read the ultrasound properly. He had no qualms bringing me to tears and then going about his business.

If you have a serious medical condition, need surgery, or require anything beyond very basic gynecological care, please do not go to this doctor. Find someone who knows what he/she is doing. He botched my surgery and then was extremely rude to me about it when I suffered complications. I found a better doctor who managed to fix what Dr. Bell had screwed up.

My review is not for this doctor specifically but for the practice as a whole. I don't know how they are for regular stuff but I went here when I was pregnant and felt very much like a number instead of a patient. I was so happy I would have overlooked it, except then something went wrong and my son was born at 27 weeks gestation. It wasn't Olympia OBGYN's fault exactly but at best they were not helpful and at worst they were negligent.
