Dr. Darshna S Chandrasekhara, MD

I had been seeing Dr. Darshna Chandrasekhara for 10 years. It's very challenging to schedule appointments, hardly anyone answers the phone. Voicemail boxes are constantly full. Office Manager confirmed lab results are in yet still waiting on Dr. C to approve to upload to patient portal after one month. Dr has way too many patients that she's lacking good customer service. Office is focused on quanity over quality! The level of service has significantly decreased. Dr. C seems more focused on completing her tasks than addressing my concerns and needs in a 5 minute visit. I did not feel heard or supported during my visits. I would not recommend this office to anyone as the Dr lacks the necessary compassion and understanding for patients.

HORRIBLE Doctor!!! STAY AWAY from her. don't go to her. so many red flags. I wish we have read these reviews before selecting her as our doctor. She is running unnecessary test without patients knowledge. We found out about some test after three and half month later when we received one surprised bill from lab. When we inquire about it, that's when she started giving excuses about lab haven't send them reports. But as being doctor, she never followed up with lab that where is results. We caught her telling lie as well because we contacted lab and lab said they provided result within 4 days. and doctor never read reports until we told them after three and half month. She will purposely over booked. So you will have to wait for hour or hour and half just to see her. even if you have appointment. And when it's your turn, she will try to wrap up as fast as she can so that she can go to next patient. That's how she is making money by seeing lots of patients in a day. And because of… these she don't have time to read your blood reports. she will at least take 4-5 days to read your report after lab send it. and she have lied to our face saying lab is taking long time. but infect all the time lab have send it right next day. We can tell lab have send it based on dat and time stamp on reports. so worst doctor ever. just do some research before selecting her as your doctor.

They don’t know how to claim bill from insurance company and they never answered for any calls. Me and my insurance company tried to reach them to pay the amount but they never responded to anyone.

Dr. Chandrasekhara is a good doctor, but her staff is very shady and does not know how to properly bill or file with the insurance agencies. They will bill you up front for services stating they confirmed the amount with the insurance company, then send you a separate non itemized bill for often 2-3 time the amount you paid up front. If you call and try to inquire you will reach a ghetto black lady who will yell and belittle you and eventually hang up on you, if you reach anyone at all. I have called 4 times asking for an itemized bill as the bill sent doesn't even show the 500 plus dollars I paid at the time of the service for my daughter or what they are even billing us for. They have not called me back, they just send more and more bills and threaten to send it to collections.

She explains everything to me is such detail! Dr C is so caring. This is my second pregnancy with her. I would not trust anyone else. She also is an excellent surgeon! She did my aunt's laproscopic hysterectomy.

I had Dr. C when I was pregnant with my first daughter. I had severe hyperememsis and she helped me get the medicine and diagnosis I needed so my baby and I could survive. When my husband and I were planning for a second baby we consulted Dr. C because we wanted to prepare as best we could for hyperemesis hitting my body again. About 5 weeks into my pregnancy I was already horribly sick and the only way I would get my meds to survive hyperemesis was through Dr. C. When I called the office, they said that she has left the country for 2-3 weeks and did not choose anyone to sign off on anything while she is gone. Every other Dr. I spoke with said they have never heard of a Dr. not having someone fill in for them for prescriptions or any other write offs while they are gone. My life was at her mercy and I couldn't get the meds I needed because she was gone. Even her associates said they couldn't make any decisions. It was about the strangest thing I have ever heard. If I leave for work, I… have someone in charge while I am gone. Because my healthy was quickly deteriorating, we switched OBGYNs.

I absolutely loved and trusted Dr. C for several years until 2 days before my daughter was born. When I became pregnant at the age of 20 I was terrified but she made me feel okay. However at 29 weeks and 4 days I was put on bed rest and was supposed to remain that way for the rest of my pregnancy. Dr. C told me that my daughter had a blockage in her stomach and wasn’t swallowing any amniotic fluid (still not sure how she didn’t she this in all the sonos). She said this blockage happens in 30% of people with Down syndrome so there was a chance she could have DS. She told me once my daughter was born she would need surgery and be transferred to another hospital. Later that day when my daughters heart rate kept dropping she told me the following, words that I will NEVER forget as long as I live. “Best case scenario your daughter would be sacking groceries for the rest of her life, Worst case scenario she wouldn’t be able to wipe herself so you should just go home and let nature take its… course.” The doctor that I loved and trusted had broken my heart. How could any professional say something like this especially to a young mother without even knowing or meeting my daughter? Needless to say I transferred doctors and hospitals that day, I wasn’t going to let her near my child. My daughter was born 2 days later at another hospital. She was born with Down syndrome, 2 1/2 months earlier but 11 years later she is thriving. She can Totally wipe herself and wants to be a hair dresser or massage therapist some day! She is the best thing that has ever happened to my family and I, and I couldn’t imagine a life without her. If only Dr. C could see her now.

She has no knowledge. she works on the question you ask. she writes something else in her notes and will tell you something else. I was with her on my last pregnancy for 3 months and then i changed my doctor because of her incapability's. Instead of addressing the issues she had she billed me for wrong reasons. She is a trap once gone you are gone forever.

Very poor judgement

They will send you wrong bill and never fixed it.
