Thanks for visiting my Web page. I hope to take this opportunity to introduce myself to you and hope that the information on this site will give you a better understanding of my practice at Kaiser Permanente.
Biography
I am a graduate of Georgia Tech where I obtained both a bachelor's and a master's degree in electrical engineering. For all you Yellow Jackets fans out there, greetings! After obtaining my master's, I attended medical school at the University of Illinois. Although I loved living in Chicago, I grew tired of shoveling snow, so when I was offered a residency in internal medicine at Loma Linda University, I promptly accepted the offer. The decision was a good one. The Southern California lifestyle is all that it's cut out to be. I enjoy being only 30 minutes away from the mountains and a hour and a half away from the beach. My wife and I like to scuba, travel, hike with our lovable but neurotic dog, "Lady," and have taken up photography as a hobby. Plus, I don't have …to shovel snow anymore! Because of my engineering background, I also like to tinker with computers and computer programming.
About my practice
I am proud to be a part of the department of internal medicine at Kaiser Permanente, Riverside. I like Kaiser Permanente because it allows us to practice medicine as we should. Medicine is a great way to help people and to interact with them. Some may say that I have a tendency to be quiet, but that's because I am listening to you, as I believe it is important for doctors to listen to their patients. I specialize in the diagnosis and non-surgical treatment of disease seen in adults. I take my patient's medical care very seriously and strive to keep them informed about their medical condition. I believe that people should have control over their own health, and that I am there to help them do that.
How I thrive
I believe in a holistic approach to people's health including my own. I am a vegetarian and to keep fit, I exercise regularly by walking and swimming. To keep my mind active and healthy, I take classes in subjects that interest me. To nourish my creative side I dabble in photography. I also believe that I am the one who is responsible for my health.
