Dr. David Baldwin JR., MD

When I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, I was not really sure what it meant as far as long term effects and future health concerns. I was being treated by a general practitioner and later by a so called specialist . I was wasting both their time and mine I was getting nothing done and felt it to be a lost cause continuing on with either of them . I went to see Dr Baldwin with an AC 1 of over 12 Dr Baldwin calmly spoke about my illness and general health condition with words I could understand and relate to. I felt very comfortable with Dr Baldwin right from the very beginning when he began speaking to me. The reassurance that Dr B . gave me about getting on the right track with the right medicine was the turning point in my total thought process and my particular situation . The kind, and informative attention given me , was a turn around that made the difference of how i felt about my illness . He has a way of mannerism that creates… positive thought and caring attitude, that made me feel like I could improve my condition and do better under his direction and management . In 3 month i was down to a 7.1 A C 1 This Dr has been wonderful to work with. He is much more than a diabetes doctor . I always look forward to my next visit with Dr Baldwin I learn more and feel better because of him and his knowledge in medicine and his personal attention to help me through my illness

would not recommend. he was difficult to get an appt with, he sets his own, i explained my medical situation and he made the appt yet at appt time could not be bothered to treat me! in the room for less than 5 mins. told me i should just go back and see a different internist i saw 5+ years ago. made it obvious no interest in treating me, so don't understand why he made the appointment and took my $. his staff was unprofessional and unethical. they didn't have some form they wanted me to sign so wanted me to sign a blank piece of paper and they'd print the form out later. really sketchy, and totally misses point of having the patient READ and sign consent form confirming patient understands the language of the form. staff as big a joke.

Dr Baldwin is a really nice guy. He put us at ease immediately, did a great job explaining important points, and was friendly. He's pretty "by the book". If that's what you want or need, then I highly recommend him. You'll be glad you met this calm demeanored, kind man.

Dr. Baldwin was my diabetes doctor for a few years. I was very happy with him. But the company I work for switched insurances and I was unable to keep him as my doctor. Which I am not happy about. I had no problems with appointments and whenever I called to leave him a message he always made time to call back. That's what a good doctor is all about. It's sad that all doctors aren't like him.
