Dr. David Charles Marzulo, DO

PLEASE DONOT Take a loved one to Dr Marzulo!!! He diagnosed my father with Parkinson’s and he also had Dementia, didn’t test him? prescribed a deadly prescription NUPLAZID and then when my parents went to him with his symptoms he proscribed another pill to add. Told my mom this is just how it goes you have a tough road ahead of you! One week later we are sitting with my dad and hospice has stepped in! FIRST thing the hospital did was take him off the NUPLAZID! HAD HE BEEN CORRECTLY DIAGNOSED by DR. MARZULO we may still have him in our lives. If I could have posted this without a star I would have! Dr. Marzulo quickly diagnosed my wife so she can get the treatment she needs to prevent further damage to her brain. Kind of a big deal. He also wants you to be a part in the game plan. Thank you for your help and for taking the time to answer our questions and give us your suggestions.

Dr. Marzulo was very knowledgeable and helpful. He explained the tests to be done in his office and then went over the results very clearly. I saw him one extra time just because I had more questions and he gave me further information regarding my probable outcome. His staff are very pleasant and efficient.

This Dr. Didn't have the time of day for me. My primary care physician sent me to see him because I have muscular dystrophy and Dr. Marzulo had some experience with the disease. I also went there because I was in a great deal of pain and could barely walk. My pain, at that time, was particularly bad in my left hip/upper thigh area. I had a hip X-Ray that didn't show anything wrong there. My primary care physician gave me a one week prescription of pain medication hoping that I would see this neurologist in the meantime and be helped. He did a very brief exam and asked me what kind of muscular dystrophy I have. I told him I have limb girdle and he asked if I knew more. I told him I had genetic testing and was told it is limb girdle muscular dystrophy type 2A. He asked if I knew yet more and was frustrated with me when I had no more answers. He then asked if I had ever been told that I have a different kind (FSHD) which affects different parts of the body than the limb girdle dystrophy's… do. I said, "No." He then examined my face (I guess just to be sure I didn't know what I was talking about.) I told him where I was having the most trouble and I was trying to explain that although I had everyday pain in my legs from my muscular dystrophy the pain that I was there for on that day was in my hip. He became impatient with me saying that since he is a neurologist he needed to know the exact spot of the pain. At that point my time was up and he started to gather his things and leave the room. I was in tears and said I didn't know what to do as I was in pain that was keeping me awake, I only had a one week prescription that was nearly gone and he said, "You have your pain medicine." I did move on and find physical therapy for my pain but came home one evening to find my entire left leg swollen. I went to the ER and was admitted with an ileo femoral DVT. Although the DVT was no ones fault I feel that it may have been found sooner if Dr. Marzulo had taken the time to listen to me and try to help. He instead, turned me away in tears. I was VERY highly dissatisfied and would never recommend that anyone go to him.

Extremely happy with Dr. Marzulo and would highly recommend his services as a neurologist. For years, Dr. M has been the most professional, knowledgeable and top-notch migraine specialist I've seen. He is a compassionate and understanding neurologist who has demonstrated continued empathy with my case of chronic migraines. He remains current in his field on all the latest treatments and medications and carefully prescribes what's needed while simultaneously avoiding migraines that come with too much medication. Through careful monitoring of diet, weight, medication and activity level, am having success with Botox treatment. All of Dr. M's staff are just as professional, kind and considerate. Dr. M. is extremely respectful of my time and doesn't keep me waiting. Highly recommend Dr. Marzulo for those who are excellent at following medication/treatment directions and are looking for an established professional.

Dr Marzulo is an expert in treating migraine. Finding a specialist that treats headache and has the credentials and education to do so is difficult to find.
