Do not trust your family to this psychologist. I raised my concerns with my legal team and to the psychologist regarding his poor ratings. I was told that a "disgruntled group" of former clients had written these reviews. I have no association with this "disgruntled group". His methods are reasonable but his actual interest in the cases or individual people are absent. He collects a paycheck for appointments without any demonstrable help to the family. My children unanimously decided that they did not want to continue seeing him because they felt that he did not listen to them.

Dr Israel came highly recommended by another psychologist whom we have known for many years and work with closely. I gave all the psychologists a litmus test question and he was one of a few that passed. We hired him during a divorce. He was EXCELLENT. He has only shown excellent character and decorum. I was impressed at how strict he was to the agreed rules and that was great IMO. I was absolutely SHOCKED by the reviews here. But frankly, many of them sound like they were written by the same person and I can imagine that a GAL would have half (or perhaps sometimes all the people in a case) angry with him when they lost custody or were exposed as having done/said something or whatnot. I have other friends who have also used him and been very impressed.

We agreed to use Dr Israel to help settle a civil lawsuit. It's always risky when you are relying on a GAL to do the right thing and put all biases aside. I won the case but not because of Dr Isreal. GAL's can make up to 20,000. per case and I found Dr Isael lacking in character with a defective moral compass. The party suing me was using a huge law firm and these firms are often in need of GAL's. Large firms, especially in wealthy areas, butter Dr Isreal's bread. My children did not like him at all, and I found him arrogant and shameful.

I wish there was a better way to warn people about how unethical and morally corrupt David Israel is. He was referred by Joan Oppenheim who recently was court ordered to be removed from a custody case due to her greed. David Israel is cut from the same cloth. The poor children who have seen him. Unbelievable how heartless he is to families/children going through the system.

HORRIBLE. And if you're unfortunate enough to have him testify in court, I would suggest a subpoena of all meeting notes beforehand. Record every session. This man lies on the stand. I won't give him any stars. He should get his license revoked.

Wants your money and does not care about the families that he tears apart. Also unethical with his billing practices.
