Used to be a great doctor, but is now fully immersed in the anti-vax movement, even going so far as to send mass emails full of loony conspiracy theories to patients. We got one that claimed that the spread of COVID-19 was a result of emerging 5g technologies, not a viral outbreak. He turned from a decent doctor to a dangerous lunatic.

Dr. Calderwood is the most Caring, compassionate, unhurried, personal doctor I've in my 76 years-- with a remarkably friendly and exceptionally helpful nurse and secretary, Gabby, and Marion. I feel especially blessed having their expertise in my time of need!

Dr Calderwood is the best,most compassionate and intelligent doctor I have ever been to. He truly cares about his patients and treats you like family. My whole family goes to him and we all love him! Wonderful Doctor!

I am 73 years old, have seen many Dr's in Huntsville over the years and for the last 8-10 years, I have seen Dr. David Calderwood and no other Dr. has been concerned about my health or spent the time on office visits as him and has the best bedside manners , his staff is very courteous and professional.

I am really choosy when it comes to my general practice/ family medicine doctor. After all, they are my first stop on any medical issue I have and usually the only. Dr. Calderwood has always impressed me. His diagnoses are ALWAYS right on (even when I came in SURE it was something else), he is compassionate, his bedside manner is impeccable. You walk away from his office feeling like you've been heard, looked at closely for what ails you, and given the best treatment for the complaint you came in for. There's no coming in looking at a clipboard, no eye contact and right back out with a diagnosis and a script when you see Dr Calderwood. I would recommend him to ANYONE. He is truly inspired.

He is caring and easy to discuss things with, as is his nurse, and is quick to try to solve the problem. Busy practice, so initial visit took a few extra minutes of waiting, but subsequent visits took me in quickly. He was also an emergency room physician, and still has residents rotate thru to train with him. If you manage to get him, I think you are likely to be pleased!
