The best. Always attentive and explains everything and if any questions he is willing to answer every concern. He is also a great surgeon. I wouldn’t go anywhere else for treatment.

My son who attends Auburn broke his hand ( boxer fracture) and this practice put a hard cast on his right hand wrong!!! Now he needs a pin in his pinkie finger to play golf or hit a baseball. So much for going to a “hand specialist “

He is a Great listener, clear understanding of what will be done and all that is involved, compassion and not rushing me through appt. I leave with a joy in my heart knowing that I am taken care of, heard and will 100% be back to my body working correctly.

I was so happy with Dr McDonald. I had suffered for more than 2 years with an elbow joint that was completely eaten away with Rheumatoid Arthritis. I had a Dr in Macon who completely gave me the run around on doing joint replacement for more than 9 months all to find out he only offered 1 kind of joint and it would never have worked for the replacement that my arm needed. My Rheumatologist gave me a referral to Dr McDonald and within 2 weeks I was in surgery. I am so happy I came to Hughston Clinic, Dr McDonald is the greatest. I have not been able to use this arm for a very very long time. So happy with the progress I've made in these past 6 weeks.

Physical therapist is awesome and very knowledgeable and staff is extremely helpful and friendly. Highly recommend. Dr. McDonald is the best orthopedic surgeon I've ever known or heard about and he's done 3 surgeries on me, all successful!

For nearly three years after having a spinal fusion of my C 3-7 vertebrae, I continued to have excruciating nerve pain and loss of feeling in my arm, fingers and hand. I sought out medical advice on multiple occasions to get to the root of the problem. There was no help in sight, so I continued to suffer. My quality of life and pain level was depressing. I asked God to lead me to the right place to seek one more opinion. Since we had success with the doctors at The Hughston Clinic before with my husband, I decided maybe they could help me. Dr. Macdonald was able to give me a diagnosis, recommend the correct surgical procedure to get relief from my pain and did an amazing job of following up with compassionate aftercare. Start to finish, I am about five weeks out post surgery. My nerve pain is diminished, and other than post surgery recovery, I am one happy camper!! in 2011 i had my tricep reattached. dr. macdonald came in to visit with my wife and i and explain what was going to happen and that it all take about 30-45 min. 1.5hrs later he came out of surgery in a rush to apologize to my wife and explain that after drilling 3 holes for the reattachment and almost completing,he didnt like what he saw and un-did the whole thing,drilled a 4th hole and completely re-did everything. 100% stand up Dr that takes pride in everything he does!!
