Dr. Joseph Franklin Curtis, MD

While still relatively new to the city of Montgomery, in 2018 my daughter researched doctors for me in Montgomery, AL , as she is a registered nurse and I was in need of knee surgery at the time. I went to Southern Orthopedic Surgeons and I was VERY IMPRESSED when I consulted with Dr. Joseph Curtis, about a possible total knee replacement. I was very pleased with Dr Curtis’ mannerisms, his compassion and ability to stay so nice even after seeing so many patients during the course of the day. Dr. Curtis has wonderful “bedside” manners and he makes you feel like HE GENUINELY CARES ABOUT HIS PATIENTS. Dr Curtis is a God-fearing man. It shows in his treatment of people, no matter who the person is. In 2019 and 2021 I had total hip replacements and rehabilitation. Again, Dr. Curtis was very professional and he ALWAYS exudes compassion. Just a few days ago I consulted again with Dr. Curtis. Dr. Curtis was just as pleasant this day as he was during my very first visit, which lets me know… that he is real when you speak with him. He does not force a smile, he does not ACT as if he’s concerned when he’s not. He makes you feel better even if you weren’t doing so well emotionally before. I am a true believer that God places people like Dr Joseph Curtis in your path to help you make decisions to better your condition of life. His professionalism and kindness is truly appreciated. Wasn't helpful at all wouldn't give me any pain medication said their was nothing he could do very rude!!

Passion for his work, & pts., being on top staircase (attic) , when the staircase fell. I broke my tibal & fibula. He saved my life & foot. No.I Dr. Curtis passion for his work & his pts. NOTHING THAT I DISLIKED. DR. CURTIS WAS VERY HELPFUL AS WELL AS HIS STAFF, i HAD ELBOW SURGERY AS A RESULT OF A FALL.

Dr. C performed separate arthroscopic knee & hip replacement surgeries. He did great jobs-excellent recoveries!
