Dr. David Raab, MD

This "doctor" is riddiculus. He made my ACL surgery but some time after something started to be wrong with my knee. When I showed him that my knee is completely unstable and weak he just said that he doesn't want to see me for next 6 months. Then another doctor found some post surgery problems because the first surgery wasn't made like it should be. Not recommended at all!

Exceptional attention to existing problems, and explanation of treatment. In my case, surgery was needed, and 2months later I am at 100%. He was never pushy with surgery and explained the different outcomes of doing surgery versus not. I would recommend him to family and friends.

Several knee surgeries and shots. Right knee was mid 2017, great outcome. Left knee in late 2004 and again in early 2005. More complex surgeries than expected but excellent outcome. If I need anymore surgeries it will be with Dr. Raab as my doctor

Have been a patient of Dr. Raab's for years. I saw first him for two knee scopes with meniscus repairs. Than knee injections for pain. He told me knee replacement surgery was the next step & I would know when it was time for a knee replacement. After 9 years, I knew it was time. Dr. Raab explained in great detail about the knee replacement surgery & recovery. He even answered, as did his amazing staff, all of my many questions. I was up & walking with a walker about 4 hours after surgery. Was able to go directly home from the hospital where my amazing hubby took great care of me. For 2 weeks I had nurse's & PT come to my home than continued my out patient PT at IBJI in Des Plaines. Although I waited a year until knee #2 was done, I'm walking with no pain & have full range of motion in both knees. Although I can't kneel any more to garden, I have figured out a way to take care of my garden. Everyone asks who did my knees & I happily say, Dr. David Raab, IBJI.

Dr. Raab was HIGHLY recommended by a co-worker who had one knee replaced already and was going to need the other one replaced soon too. I went to see Dr. Raab for a second opinion to see if there were any other options before I committed to surgery. Dr. Raab also believed surgery was my only option. I am a Registered Nurse with many years of experience working with Orthopedic patients. When I heard the procedure could be performed as a outpatient I was then ready to commit. I had my Left knee replaced almost two years ago this month and I am EXTREMELY pleased with the results. My only regret is that I cannot kneel on that knee any longer and I love to garden, but I have managed to find alternative ways to continue to enjoy gardening and life. My knee replacement was a great decision. Thank you Dr. Raab and staff.

Dr. Raab and his staff are superior. He explained my torn meniscus knee surgery throughly and answered all my questions. I felt very comfortable that I had been given all the information I needed. I had no problems with my surgery or recovery, and my knee is still fine years later. I've seen him several times for bursitis in my hip also. He and his nurses are great at dealing with my fears of injections. His staff is also very good at communication and returning phone calls.

Not only is Dr. Raab an excellent surgeon, but also a warm, caring , thoughtful person. the same goes for his staff.

Dr. Rabb was extremely professional, described the surgery to me carefully and fully and post surgery supported me through rehab and recovery. I recommend him highly to patients requiring total knee replacements.

I am very happy with my results from surgery with Dr. Raab. He allowed me to go home after surgery with my super husband to care for me and the nurses and physical therapists to come to my house for 2 weeks. After that I went to the IBJI facility for continued physical therapy. Super happy now and out of pain!!
