Dr. David Sandor Hoffman, MD

This is my first time to Dr. Hoffman. He and hsi staff are both professional and cordial. Val is wonderful and the woman in the office is very helpful and kind. I will not be going anywhere else. Dr. Hoffmman found a cataract in one of my eyes but assured me I don't need surgery for at least one year. His exam is so thorough. So glad I went here. He is also one of the few in our area who accepts VSP insurance.

Gone to him for Decades

His staff is rude, and I waited for over 35 minutes before even being taken to a room where I waited an extra 15-20 minutes for him to arrive. He did not make eye contact and mumbled a hello as he entered the room. He rushed through the exam and he was clearly distracted during my appointment. He kept looking and checking his cell phone. I came in for an issue with my vision at night and he said "thats age...." I am in my mid thirties and I don't feel that's an acceptable response. No testing was even done besides the basics you get at a regular eye exam.

I have been a patient for over 20 years and Dr. Hoffman has been an outstanding doctor. I have had many eye problems including 3 surgeries and although he did not perform the surgeries he guided me every step of the way, in all cases recommending other outstanding doctors. His office manager (his wife) and all the office staff are all caring and professional. I can recommend him without reservation.

Horrible !!!!! Rude and unprofessional . Was called into appt more than 30 min late and when I requested to bring my 8 year old son back for dilation because we were called in so late and I had to go pick up my daughter from school..... he then proceeded to talk down to me and talk about me and my son to his secretary. He was also trying to see several patients at once and it was very apparent he was just trying to rush through the appt and showed little concern for patients . Do your research before going to this doctor and I use that term loosely.

The doctor was ok. The Optician that is supposed to sell glasses and frames was no good at all. It's just a miserable experience visiting/buying glasses here. Save yourself some time, go somewhere else that will treat you like a customer. Don't get sub-par and bad service there.

Dr. Hoffman is an excellent ophthlogist. No waits to get an appointment and no waiting in the office on the date of your appointment. Thorough and efficient. Little small talk. I'll eventually need cataract surgery and he will be the on e to do it.
