Dr. David Philip Sokolow, MD

I had 2 major knee surgeries this year, and Dr Sokolow and his staff were the absolute best people to work with. Thorough, incredibly kind, and always keeping the patient’s best interest in mind. He and his entire staff are positively wonderful.

This doctor has always been there for me and my family.he has put the pieces of me back together so many times always explained what he was going to do before and after .ihad a hospital tell me they had to amputate my ankle because there was nothing left to attach to .i had them call doctor sokolow and he had me come back to Fredericksburg va.he did the surgery and attached the ankle and nearly 10 years later it still works with no problem whatsoever now hes left Fredericksburg.va and his patient's has lost a great one of a kind surgeon.whos the bright one that let that happen where ever you are dr david sokolow you will never be forgotten but always missed by your patients.!!!!!!!

A year ago my mom was in a severe car accident. She fractured both collar bones, her arm, her rib cage, and shattered both ankles. We were all concerned about her ability to be able to walk again. Dr. Sokolow surgically repaired her collar bones and arm with steel plates, but his restoration of her ankles was an inivative masterpiece. He consulted with other doctors to perform a "first of it's kind" surgery on my mother's ankle. During her rehabilitation, his care and compassion through her recovery was exemplary. He is the epitome of a great physician, whom all should aspire. This gentleman no only gave my mom the ability to walk again, but he gave her a drive to be a walking miracle. A testimony of his ingenius surgical skills. We want to thank Dr. Sokolow for all he's done for my mother, Gertrude Dickerson, and what he continues to do in his profession. I have had much success with "lubricating" shots (not cortisone) in my right knee; when these were first started I was told that I would be having knee replacement surgery VERY VERY surely in my future. Dr. S was willing to let me continue to receive the shots, even tho' other orthopedists would not have. The shots were necessary 2x a year at first, , and have now dwindled to only being needed in well OVER a year's time.. This caring man listened and went against some medical " current" and I still have my own, functioning right knee...........

Dr. Sokolow is the kind of doctor everyone should have. During the appointment he listens and asks pertinent questions so that he can make a skilled diagnosis. He has never rushed me if I have a lot of questions and has responded with compassion and confidence. He has taken care of many members of my family as well as my friends. They all have spoken highly of him and have trusted his skills without question.
