Dr. Dawn Hsiaotan Li, MD

Dr Li saw my 16 year old approx a week ago for a annual physical and I asked her to do a regular blood workout (CBC standard ) to check make sure all was ok and also look at vitamin deficiency such as iron and vitamin D as I had concerns . Dr Li undermined me and went into private room with my son and told him that she doesn’t usually ever do blood work and that she would order this only because mom was concerned . My son came out and when we started to walk to Luries children’s hospital lab for blood work , my son told me he refused blood work and took the el home by himself because he said the doctor told him she didn’t think he really needed blood work and only ordered for me ! I was so upset that the doctor undermined me and didn’t follow up with me first and both myself and my son in the room on the overall health plan together . I called the next day and left a message for the nurse to have doctor call me AND called Dr Li’s practice voicemail which is what I was told to do and… zero response . Now a week and still zero response and no call to my cell. FYI this practice does zero blood work And I would consider Dr Li negligent if something was wrong with my son . Still no call back . I have never had a practice not have a nurse or a doctor call back after I left a message . They are fired and I am looking for a good family doctor for him.

My son was a patient of Dr. Li when she was practicing in New York City. She never diagnosed him correctly with what turned out to be food allergies. He had the most obvious symptoms that she completely missed. Dr.Li made a horrific mistake and gave him the wrong vaccine. I would never ever trust her to even put a bandaid on my child. She goes down in my book as the worst doctor I have ever trusted my child with.

So great with my 3 kids, always spends an extra few minutes talking with me and my husband. I've recommended her to all the moms in our neighborhood group. Couldn't be happier!
