didnt send positive blood tests and told new dr i was ok! wont help you get ssd if you need it! luckily 5 other drs agreed i had it and ssd dr made me win my case with the xrays and blood test that was a positive diagnosis!! she said i was to young yet even though it showed and i cried at night with her naprosyn had to get vicodin from md till he diagnosed me aswell! plus it ran in my family at age 35-40!

When I moved back to Pittsburgh I was eager to find a new rheumatologist. I found Dr. Santora. I was very disappointed to say the least. She had what seemed to be a complete disregard or concern for the significant arthritic problems I was having. I had called the office on numerous occasions with expressed concerns for the increasing problems I was having....she denied ever having been told of my phone calls to the office! Finally, after having been told that I had pretty much fabricated the problems I was experiencing, I left, never to return. I would not recommend Dr. Santora to anyone with a complex immunological problem. She did, however, inject my hip and relieved the 20+ yr problem of bursitis.

Even though Dr Santora is a rheumatologist, I would advise anyone seeking treatment of fibromyalgia to avoid her. She seems to have a distinct lack of compassion and understanding towards this syndrome. I went to her for over 2 years and the condition became steadily worse. When I got to the point where I could no longer perform my job duties she stated that she has not and will not consider granting a medical leave to fibromyalgia patients. This kind of attitude of not working with the patient toward a goal of dealing with the condition and healing is appalling in this day and age.
