Dr. Crutcher wasn’t my regular doctor, when I went into labor in 2005. But I’m glad she was my substitute since I didn’t care for my regular OB-Gyn. Dr. Crutcher was very caring and compassionate w/both my family and I! I had to have a C-Section and I was very scared since that was my first pregnancy AND surgery to boot! She was patient and helped me w/the fear of surgery! I love her!!

Dr. Crutcher has been my doctor for over a decade through a successful birth with high risk eclampsia, 2 miscarriages and an intense endometriosis hysterectomy. She has always-always- taken time to answer my questions and ease my mind about all my options. She is non-judgmental and open to her patient’s voice. I highly recommend her. (The St. Vincent office is always a zoo- packed with patients of the group).

I came to this doctor after hearing good things about her, but my experience was not good. Pap smears are always uncomfortable for me, but never that painful... I said, "Oh, that hurts," because she was scraping me pretty roughly, then she said, "Ugh... Are you sure you want to have kids?" ...In a condescending tone. I was pretty mad, but I have manners so I didn't show it. After I left I was bleeding so it wasn't just me... and I was so annoyed at the disrespect and lack of professionalism... It was a passive aggressive comment and not bedside manner protocol whatsoever... Or stirrup bedside I guess you could say. I ended up talking to my best friend and husband about it and they couldn't believe it; agreed that was very rude. So, If you're patient is hurting, keep your immature opinions to yourself and respond as a professional... "We're almost done" or something... Anything but that. My friends all say that their paps are uncomfortable and sometimes painful, and so have mine in the… past but that was so painful... so I cant be the only one. And Dr. Crutcher, having a child and a pap smear are not exactly the same... But you're the gyno so you should know that... And having a child I hear, is worth the pain. Don't say that to patients, ever... Seriously not ok!

She was on call for my doctor and she was the rudest noncompassionate doctor i have ever dealt with. I would hope i dont go into labor when she is on and my doctor is not available. I am horrified by her unprofessionalism
