Dr. Deanna P Girshon Ricker, MD

Dr Ricker is the BEST. She cares about her patients and listens. She will take as long as she needs with each patient. It is not a office mill grinding out as many patients in a day as possible. I do not mind waiting and when that occurs I know it is because another patient is being taken care of the way I would like to be when it is my turn. The staff is great too !

Excellent. Dr. Ricker has a warmth and calming effect on both my little girl and my grandmother. Exceptionally warm, she explains things clearly, and is a wonderful woman as well as a great doctor. When we moved I tried someone closer to my new home for myself, but ended up returning to Dr. Ricker. My little girl still goes to Dr. Ricker for checkups for her more serious condition, but I didnâ??t think I needed to drive out there for myself as I only have occasional testing to monitor my condition. However, I ended up returning to Needham because there is something refreshing and personable about Dr. Ricker that I cannot find elsewhere. It is worth the commute to have a doctor who you can trust. Have recommended people to Dr. Ricker for years. Oh, and my little girl insists I tell you â??the paintings in the office are very pretty, too.â?? She and Dr. Ricker always have a good chat about art.

Exceptional warmth and true "care" that is rare to find these days, in addition to expertise. I am only in my 30s but being cared for by Dr. Ricker made me feel like I was experiencing the kind of patient care you read about with family country doctors. It didn't surprise me to find out that she has patients that fly in from as far away as California, just to be treated with the warmth and integrity Dr. Ricker is known for.

Dr. Ricker has got to be the absolutely nicest person you would ever want to meet. Not only knowledgeable in her field, but a good, solid, warm-hearted person whom you would love to have as your best friend! Very caring, sincere, and most personable! I look so forward to any visits with her!

All 4 of my family members go to Dr. Ricker. Without fail, we each wait an hour every time we go. If you do go to her, go in the morning but still be prepared to late. She doesn't spend a particularly long time with each patient so it's unclear why it takes so long. She also has an archaic billing system so she makes you come back a second time one week later so that she gets reimbursed by insurance. I don't know why my family still goes to her.

It is hard to imagine a physician with a better bedside manner. Warm, compassionate and caring, Dr. Ricker combines a degree from Harvard Medical school and decades of medical experience with a deep understanding about caring for actual human beings. The only drawback was the wait time to see her, she gives each of her patients complete attention and however much time is necessary. It is worth a call ahead to see how far behind she is running. I have seen her for years and recommend her whole heartedly.
