Dr. Denise Lugee Hom, MD

I’ve seen her a few times about different things and each time she’s made me feel like an idiot. She doesn’t take her patient’s concerts seriously. Each appointment took no longer than 5 minutes and every SINGLE time she’s said something along the lines of “it’s no big deal.” Find someone else who will care about you as a patient.

At my first visit with the Doctor, she walked in and did not bother introducing herself. Abruptly asked what she can help me with. I awkwardly explained my symptoms and she asked if I’m currently taking medications. She asked how long I’ve been experiencing the pain and quickly explained what she’ll be prescribing me. Entire interaction took less than 2 minutes. She came off cold and careless. She’s not a doctor to sit down, ask questions and get to know her patients. I’ll definitely never be going to see her again.

I have been a patient of Dr. Hom for several years. She is very knowledgeable and cared about patients greatly. I have always received the care I needed, never had issues with being referred to specialists. I appreciate care that I received. Thank you.

Dr. Hom is an OK doctor as have seen her a couple times. The issue is her support staff. I have been attempting to get a request for certain supplies submitted by her office to my insurance. The process has now been going on for 3 months. I have 4 promises from staff that Anita would call me back - nothing, 4-5 promises support staff or Doctor would call me back with status - nothing. I was also lied to saying paperwork had been submitted on one call but the next was told they were still working on it. Horrible customer service by Lakeside Medical Simi Valley.

She doesn't care and doesn't probe deep. Not a good doctor.

Dr Homm listens to me when I am addressing concerns, is easy to talk with and never makes me feel like I have wasted my time.

Abrupt and seems cold. Didn't seem to she was taking what I said into account. Did not have confidence in diagnosis.

Dr Hom has been my Dr for over 10 years. She has seen me for a lot of different health issues. Some more serious than others. She always listens to me. Knows how to treat each different health situation. I wouldn't go to any other Dr.

Dr. Hom is very professional the only thing is she treats you like a number and not a person. Very in and out and like she is in a big hurry all the time. God Doctor just feel very rushed.

My old doctor left the group, so I picked Dr. Hom as our new doctor. I met her the first time today. She listened to me as to what my concerns were, she adjusted by medications, told me to follow up with a new visit in one month and lab work done in 2 months. She was attentive, caring, explained how to do certain exams. I felt safe and comfortable. I am a male and this is my first female doctor and I am very happy with her compared to my prior doctor.
