Dr. Dennis Donahue, MD

DR. Donahue, is the number 1 Doctor in Florida. I have had Dr. Donahue for 28 years up until he retire. I always felt safe with him because he care about his patient's he never acted like he was better then you and always explain things on your level. there will never be another Dr. like him. if there is I can't find him, and after he retired the doctor he left to take care of his patients was lousy. even the office change after Dr. Donahue left.

unbelievable lack of care and no followup whatsoever. if i knew this was how he was, i would have dealt with the kidney stones and find someone else that cares.

Visited Florida Hospital Urology Fast Track. Saw Dr. Donahue. I have suffered with kidney stones for 25 years now, previously treated by Winter Park Urology. (Now Florida Hospital Urology) First time being seen by Dr. Donahue today was dreadful. When you have had kidney stones, you know when to be concerned as a patient. You know the symtoms. Today was alarming to see how doctor care has decreased in the USA. I felt like I was wasting his time. Very disappointed in the doctor care. Staff was very nice, which was refreshing. Florida hospital quality of care is on the decline.

He diagnosis me With low grade bladder Cancer after Cystoscopy he went in Quick said I had it and need Surgery did not even sit with me and explain any concerns I might have my case does not seem Severe to him so I just got to Wait till I get call whenever so Whatever! I don't think he is a good Doctor

This man is an awful Dr. who completely missed my dad's cancer. My dad trusted this dr. and routinely had his PSA checked and had regular exams. After switching doctors, we find out that not only does my dad have cancer, but it has spread outside the prostate. Prostate cancer is a slow growing cancer, so how could a man who goes for regular checkups be diagnosed with an aggressive cancer that has aparently been there for a very long time!

After reading the comments before me, they must have done some changes in the office. I did not wait long for appointments, despite a busy practice. I found his front office staff to be efficient and mostly pleasant. His nurse was great and the lady that does the KUB xrays very sweet. The girls in bookkeeping office were professional. Dr. Donahue is accurate and to the point - hearing my trip in one weeks time to Germany would be canceled - brought tears - but he was spot on. I felt awful and that stone would not be gone in time. They worked me in under emergency situation and worked quickly to have lithotripsy scheduled and to remove that God awful ureter stent. Dr. Donahue is a "nutty professor" type but we found him to be pretty close to perfect for us.

I have had two surgeries with him, and I really like it. The only problem is the staff is not the best.

Office administration at this practice is horrible. Get rid of your administrator and your practice can only get better. Rudeness at the check in window. Never have my insurance correct. Reschedule appointments continually.Wait times excessive.Spoke with administrator outside while she smokes.

I don't have any complaints about Dr. Donahue, but I would caution you about using him based on his staff. The first time I visited his office after about an hour of waiting in the lobby, I was made to feel like I was bothering the staff for asking when I might be getting in to see. Once I got in the Dr was good. The next incident was when I called on the phone to ask about post op procedures, the lady just went into how I need to follow instructions from the surgery center. I tried to explain that I must have been missing papework, but she kept repeated herself not listenging to me. After a little bit of going around and around, she eventually realized and mailed me the documentation. On the last visit, when I tried to ask a simple question, the receptionist ignored my question and asked if I signed in. I said not yet and was going to say but I will, when she cut me off and said everyone needs to sign in. It is little things but I think they are missing out on the fact that it is the… patients need to be treated with respect. What maybe routine for them is certainly not routine for the patients. Everyone is different but needs to be treated the same.
