Summary

In my early years, I was sure that I was going to be a baseball player, but by the time I got to college I knew that medicine was the career for me. I am originally from Buffalo and I graduated from Hamilton College in 1982 with a Bachelors Degree and chemistry major. After my college graduation, I was accepted into medical school at Upstate Medical University. After exploring several fields of medicine during my rotations, I decided to pursue a career in Radiation Oncology. I was attracted to Radiation Oncology due to its progressive technology and its intimate connection with cancer patients. After almost 20 years of working in this field, I still love Radiation Oncology and I continue to approach my patients with dedication and enthusiasm.

Because the field of Radiation Oncology is ever changing, everyday provides new challenges and excitement. Such changes are most evident in the technology used to treat cancer. At HOA, I have the opportunity to work with the latest technology, most notably the CyberKnife, which allows me to provide the best care possible to my patients. The CyberKnife is continually changing the way cancer is treated, and I am extremely excited about the possibilities of the machine's future. Along with such innovative technology, HOA offers a fantastic work environment, with a truly great group of people. Everyone at HOA is primarily concerned with the well-being of their patients at all times, which, most importantly, creates a comforting environment for the patients.

When not working, I lead a very active lifestyle. I enjoy running, cycling, and swimming – as well as other outdoor activities. I have run a marathon and I completed a half Iron-Man triathlon. Although I believe these have been great accomplishments for me, I am most proud of my family.

Through my work as a Radiation Oncologist, I have gained a genuine appreciation for the great gift that life truly is and I take home lessons learned from my patients. I am grateful for the opportunities my patients provide to me. I cherish the partnerships we develop and my patients’ trust in me is a precious gift for which I will always be appreciative.

Ensuring Data Transparency and Trust: A Guide to Vitals Doctor Listings and Reviews

Our provider data is gathered directly from physicians and publicly available databases. Providers who verify their profiles gain the ability to update information, offering additional details about their specialties, education, treated conditions, performed procedures, and accepted insurances.

Reviews on Vitals are submitted by users only. Recognizing the valuable insights these reviews offer into a doctor's reputation, we maintain internal policies and protocols to ensure the quality and accuracy of all reviews. Importantly, providers cannot delete or alter reviews independently. Reviews can only be deleted or changed following an internal assessment by our customer service team.

Your feedback is highly valued and we encourage you to contact our support team should you encounter any issues.
