Dr. Dennis Patrick Lewis, MD

This dr. Is the best dr I or my family have seen. On a recommendation from a friend that works for another network, we went to see him. Dr Lewis is attentive, knowledgeable and does not take the drug way out. I have read some of these reviews and strongly disagree with those that have given him negative reviews. He gives information, but also options. He is not arrogant. He diagnosed my husband with a serious disease and took me in on an emergency (I’ve also had to wait when he has tended to other emergencies). He is careful to not overbook and does everything he can to satisfy his patients with the utmost care and respect. I just feel sorry for all the billions of people that don’t get to have him as their doctor! Best ever!!!

Dr. Lewis and his staff are great. They take the time to treat complex problems.

IGNORANCE AND ARROGANCE ARE NOT A GOOD LOOK IN A DOCTOR. 1. First clue that this place has issues is that they play a video on loop downplaying the dangers of Covid 19 2. The staff do not wear masks properly, either under their chin, exposing the entire faces, or under their noses. Only one wore hers the entire time. 3. Dr. Dennis Lewis told me that Covid 19 was made worse by masks because people need to be exposed to increase their immunity. (This is herd immunity theory and only works when about 97% of the population is vaccinated or exposed and end up dying, disabled or fighting for recovery). I didn't not tell Dr. Lewis that I am a doctor myself and I listened appalled at what he must me telling the public every day! I have studied Covid 19 extensively and he couldn't be more wrong. 4. Dr. Lewis is also very arrogant about many aspects of medicine and is not a good listener. His knowledge of medications is lacking, and as my wife was seen too, she was appalled at his ignorance… of the simplest aspects of women's medicine. 5. We will not go back, but if you do, please wear an N95 mask and expect to have your concerns ignored.

As an established patient with Dr Lewis, I have always found him to be warm, genuinely concerned about my health and thorough. Recently, I went to him for a second opinion regarding a surgery. He took a lot of time going over my records and test results before giving me all the options including possible complications. He gave me the confidence to proceed with the surgery. He is an excellent and very knowledgeable doctor who is very friendly and easy to talk to. I highly recommend him! Richard Sears

Dr. Lewis was reommended highly by various friends and other doctors as being the best family practice doctor in town. So true. He is smart, knowledgeable, and really figures out what is wrong. Works closely with my specialists too.

Today I went to Urgent Care and he was very dismissive, condescending, and incredibly rude. He told me that some people have to "live with my condition" (allergic reactions) as he verbally stated that he had other patients waiting for him. This made me feel as if he did not have time to hear my concerns. He also made a reference that my going to the Urgent Care was like a Leukemia patient going to Urgent care to cure their cancer. I DID NOT appreciate this cavalier comment as my first husband had died from Ewing's Sarcoma Cancer after a 5 year battle. THIS IS VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!!!! Once he saw my extensive medical history, he backtracked his extremely rude demeanor somewhat. This was so disappointing as I have heard so many good things about him at SCV Quality Care. My family and I have EXCELLENT care from Dr. Kathy Herrera and Dr. Harold Wong and office staff. Sad that the "Head" of this medical group/Director sets this poor example. He should lead by example.

Dr Lewis is the best general practitioner that I have ever had! I was introduced to him during a physical for a corporation in Valencia at an Urgent Care he owned in the Henry Mayo complex in 2002. To my astonishment he followed up with me about a minor issue the next day on the phone, he consulted with an ENT for an odd condition I had that turned out to be nothing. After that I made him my go to doc (I have a PPO plan so I can go anywhere I want), over the years he has continued to go above and beyond what any doctor does today with followup and treatment. He really, truly cares about his patients. He has been much harder to schedule with since he has moved to his newest location on Valencia Blvd which is a testament to his abilities. I find that all of the different docs who work there are competent and follow his ethics as well and feel well taken care of when I need to get in immediately. He has recommended different specialists over the years for me and they have all… been excellent as well! He does a comprehensive Physical which I get every year and has all of the staff and equipment in his office to complete it in a few hours!

Dr. Lewis is thorough and caring. He explains everything and is extremely bright, not just settling for the common answer.

Dr. Lewis and his staff are professional and friendly. I like Dr. Lewis because he gives you well thought out options for your care and tells it like it is. I appreciate that. He just moved to a new location (my first time at his new location). I was impressed with how nice, clean and modern it is. Will continue here.
