Dr. Dennis Alan Petersen, DO

We are so grateful to Dr. Petersen, his wife, Jo, and the staff. He has been seeing our son once a month for the past eight years.and the care he has provided has been exceptional.

I chose this guy ONLY because it would allow me to keep the orthopedic specialists. But I cannot tolerate the fact that the office "Manager" (doctor's wife) wants to inform a patient with anecdotal medical tales. I have seen this doctor 4 times, but only "SAW" him. The nurse who was great is no longer there (she was efficient and personable). I am 99.9% certain that this doctor would NOT remember me at all even though he has seen me. The only I remember him telling me is: "We can take care of that." Then nothing ever happened. I had to tell him the orthopedic specialist I needed for the referral (thru the network group). I was somewhat chastised for going to Urgent Care on a day when Petersen wasn't available....and not waiting. This would be funny if it weren't so pathetic. I told his office manager/wife yesterday that I was quitting HIM. This office doesn't really care one way or another. Save yourself...don't go.

He is always available to help, I wouldn't go anywhere else.

I have known Dr. Petersen for years. He no longer is in control of his office...his wife is. She runs the office and she is rude, condescending and highly insensitive. The waiting room is very small and it is easy to overhear conversations between her and the patients, whereas I feel that is affecting a patient's privacy. The only way you can speak to him directly is by making an appointment with him. Dr Petersen acts like he is in fear of his spouse while she is ruining his practice. He is the kind of doctor that one would seek his services for a minor cold, aches and pains...nothing significant. A couple of times it appeared as if he may have been indulging in alcohol as he appeared not to be listening intently or was having trouble following the conversation. He would readily write a Rx and you were in and out of his office is less than 10 minutes. No quality of time was spent discussing a patient's concerns and questions were answered in a "round about way". I finally was so… uncomfortable I left Dr Petersen's practice and now I am being treated for my minor issues by truly professional, competent doctor in whom I have the confidence in.
