Dr. Donald Dong-Il Kim, MD

Dr. Kim was my appointed QME doctor who examined me after my industrial work injury. Dr. Kim was very professional and his bed side manners were impeccable. This was my first experience dealing with a QME doctor and Dr. Kim showed compassion toward me and my injury. I believe Dr. Kim went above and beyond what was expected from a QME doctor. I truly want Dr. Kim to be recognized for his professionalism and compassion he exemplified toward my injury. Dr. Kim had faith with my deposition and my honesty with regard to my injury. Dr. Kim encouraged the insurance company to accept my claim and help me proceed forward with my recovery. I'm completely grateful for Dr. Kim and his staff and all they did to help expedite my medical situation. Dr. Kim is a doctor that is there for his patients. He is a very carrying and experienced doctor. He is a doctor that does not just give you lip service, he works with you to find your problem and then works hard to find the best treatment to fit your needs. I would recommend him to anyone who needs a good orthopedic doctor, which I have done several times recently. Of the patients that I have recommended to Dr. Kim they have all thanked me and told me, Dr. KIm is wonderful, compassionate and they are so glad they made the choice to go with Dr. Kim.

Dr. Kim did an ACL reconstruction on my knee 16 years ago. I have played and worked hard with and it has performed well through the years. He is an excellent surgeon.

Took a month to get an appointment. Arrived at office and could not believe how rude the staff were. But that was nothing compare to how filthy the office was - stains all over the carpet and chairs. I think a welfare office is probably cleaner. I was trying to overlook all of this as it took so long to get an appointment and he is suppose to be a good doctor. I waited an hour after my appointment time and when I asked how much longer, the staff informed me that it would be another hour as he was running behind schedule. That was it for me. I should have walked out the minute I saw the condition of the office. If anywhere should be clean, it should be a doctor's office.

Dr. Kim is a great physician when I began to see him for treatment. He expresses concern and care for each individuals injury or concerns due to an injury. BUT from experience.....he's only a great choice for personal health insurance coverage. Like any person...he'll look out for himself first. Wolf in a sheeps skin! Is letting a patient in SEVERE PAIN, awaiting surgery, with no prior history of substance abuse, medication abuse, and no medical history of long term pain relief medication usage....go w/out medication humaine? In my opinion NO! Even if the doctor personally disagrees with pain relieving medication as a temporary treatment, due to risk of addiction...it's not fair for someone to suffer in agonising pain due to your own personal beliefs! HELLO ONLY the doctor has control over amounts given and lengths of time.

Dr. Kim has always provided to me good care. He takes the time to explain and answers questions and is always willing to discuss internet findings with me.I would recommend him to anyone for orthopedic care.
