Dr. Douglas Stephen Cohen, MD

I’ve visited Dr. Cohen, for a Workmen’s Comp. case five times and he’s Submitted three reports each one requiring his determination on my percentage of disability. On each one he Indicated it was “ undetermined. “ The fact of the matter is he never even examined me. He had his Nurse do this. Every other doctor indicated I was 100% disabled. I was informed by his nurse that she was the one who filled out the papers. Apparently Dr. Cohen doesn’t like to do work. He’s “undetermined” ruling cost me approximately $1000 and Workmen’s Comp. award money. But The biggest insult of all was after waiting in his office for two hours during one visit, he simply left without seeing me. His staff claims they called my name but I never heard it. He simply just got up and left with no regard for my waiting there that long. Take your business elsewhere. I wish I could give him no stars But this website won’t allow me.

Great at what he does fixed what another doctor couldn’t fix

Dr. Cohen seemed totally oblivious to my concerns and complaints of continually increasing pain post surgery. His only answer was a dismissive "Wait a year." It's now been 1 year and pain is close to unbearable.

Dr. Douglas S. Cohen is one of the best doctors I have ever had. He was very clear when explaining the procedure.He also has a kind way about him. He refered me to a pain specialist, (Dr.Kiran Patel), who was great as well, to look for a less invasive way to treat my cervical problem. In the end, he performed ACDF and my life has changed for the better. I'm still in the healing process and I am happy with the results. I reccomend him highly! I would give him 5 stars if I could!

Incredibly efficient and thorough, listened to my concerns, did complete exam, did not just focus on one thing. Wonderful office staff, prompt & helpful. At the end of my 1st visit I felt so hopeful and knew I was in good hands. Scheduled follow up diagnostics quickly, then met with me one week later to review options. Awesome experience

Dr. Cohen is one of the best doctors I have ever had. I had a pituitary adenoma, which was pressing against my optic nerve. I was in danger of losing my eyesight. He did a wonderful job removing the adenoma without hurting my vision.Dr. Cohen follows up carefully. The first year after my surgery, he had his secretary call me. I was supposed to have a follow-up MRI and I didn't do it. It was Dr. Cohen who reminded me.Besides all that, Dr. Cohen has always been friendly and most considerate when I have met with him -- pre and post surgery and every annual visit since then. He takes time and doesn't rush me. It is a pleasure to meet with him.Dr. Cohen has my sincere gratitude for the surgery he performed on me, for saving my eyesight, and my sincere appreciation for his kindness and basic decency as a human being.
