Dr. Edward John Greaney, MD

I was a patient for over 25 years. He left the practice of clinical medicine to go to Big Pharma. Fine, but he gave such short notice that I could not get a final appointment. His record keeping was terrible and my new doctor can’t speak with him. Very selfish man- just dumped all his patients in the East River and ran.

Dr. Greaney studies your medical records before you arrive and is thoroughly familiar with your medical conditions. When he comes through the door, he knows all about you cutting down on wasted office time. He is a great listener and excellent practitioner. He orders testing that is specific to your needs.

Dr. Greaney meets every standard of excellence. Both in his treatment and manner, I could not be more satisfied with the care I have received over the years. Whatever medical challenges I may face, I want Dr. Greaney there as my primary physician guiding the way. I have enormous trust in his medical expertise and judgment, and he is genuinely warm and sincere in relating to patients. I feel greatly fortunate to have him as my doctor.

Visits to doctors can be boring or intimidating but that isn't the case with Dr Greaney. I've been going to him for 15 years and he has always been very accommodating and helpful. I obviously trust him with my health issues, but simply talking to him about things other than the state of my health makes the visit more entertaining, if that word is appropriate here. It definitely makes a difference when he's strapping on those gloves. Thanks Dr Greaney--youre more than just my physician. Go Giants! Go Irish!

I found Dr. Greaney to be very attentive to your medical needs, very understanding, and proactive in seeking additional help for you. He is very kind and will spend as much time as is needed in your appointment.

Dr. Greaney is a phenomenal doctor. I'm a new patient of his (he also treats my brother who loves him) and can firmly say that his approach is analytical, deeply thorough and precise and he listens carefully to all of your concerns. In his diagnostics, he treats the person as an overall system and not just one isolated 'issue'. I trust him unconditionally. I also appreciate his conservative approach in regards to prescriptions and various medical procedures. In my view, the best doctor I've seen in New York. I recommend him highly.

As Dr. Greaney is one of the Partners in this totally inept, torturous Medical Group, he is part of the problem. It is FAR too stressful and frustrating to see him. Calls to Dr. Greaney are not answered but go directly to voice mail ALL DAY LONG, EVERY DAY. Murray Hill Medical Group doesn't care about its patients. They have set up a terrible system which they refuse to change. The patients suffer as there is no way to contact your doctor!!!!! It is immensely unhealthy and stressful. Staff is overwhelmed by being overburdened. Their is no real Receptionist, just the poor secretaries who try their best. Strictly a matter of GREED on the part of these MD's in this practice. They don't care how much stress and misery they inflict on their patients, which to me is a huge NO NO. It has been a misery trying to get in touch with Dr. Greaney to discuss my recent blood test. Wasn't able to and tried for over a week!! Check Yelp and you'll see endless bad reviews of… this Murray Hill Medical Group. A doctor can FABULOUS, but if it is impossible to reach him, no way to speak to his secretary EVER, then he might as well be selling hot dogs on the street. Useless. As a partner in the Murray Hill Medical Group, it IS Dr. Greaney's responsibility to make sure patients CAN contact him, DO get calls returned. Dr. Greaney gets an F in my book. I wouldn't recommend ANY doctor in this hellish group. It's patient torture. Very unethical and unprofessional.

Extremely knowledgable, great beside manner, a physician that really cares about his patients I highly recommend him

Could not be more pleased with the entire experience. Dr. Greaney answered all of my questions regarding the risks and benefits. My confidence in his skill and knowledge prompted me to forge ahead. Should have done it years ago!
