Dr. Eva Kosta, MD

Had a bout of tachycardia that lasted too long on a Sunday afternoon....opted not to go to ER, but wait until Monday to find a cardiologist. Called a few, but no one had any suitable new patient appointments, and all told me to go to an ER, even tho the bout had resolved. I told them all that I was not going to do that, but would appreciate any earlier appointments that may become available. Dr. Kosta's office actually called me back that afternoon to check on my status, and to ask me again to go to the ER. I said I would wait. They called again the next morning to let me know an appointment had opened up that day. Dr. Kosta was worth waiting for. Professional, expedient, no attitude - just informative with excellent care. She ordered a halter monitor to try to 'catch' what had occurred. I appreciate that she is tailoring her practice to concentrate on her specialty. Having a specialist can be a very good thing when you need one.

You don't find to many doctors who will take the time to sit down and speak with you. Dr.Kosta treats you like a real person no just an umber. Highly recommended to all women.

A year and a half ago I saw Dr.Kosta, I had just been diagnosed with postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome and I wanted a second opinion. When I met her and she took in my story, my symptoms and questioned me to find out as much information as possible, I was impressed. She was, and still is, the best Dr. I had ever met. I was happy that she was a mom, like me, immediately I wanted her to be my doctor. It couldn't happen, Dr. Kosta did not accept my insurance and I paid out of pocket. I have spent the last year and a half trying to get to the bottom of why I got so sick. Recently, I had to change my insurance and of course, I picked one Dr. Kosta takes, hoping to finally find out what is wrong with me. after seeing so many specialists, I needed a Dr. who did not see me as a head, a brain, a GI tract, I needed a primary care physician with a working brain. My current primary is great at simple things but took 1 and a half years to find out I had celiac, after I begged him to… reach a little further and try to find the cause of my illness. I had to BEG him. So, I was very excited when I was able to pick Dr. Kosta as my primary physician. I made an appointment. Two weeks later, the day before my appointment, her office calls and tells me Dr. Kosta is not seeing patients as a primary physician. Only cardio patients, they promised they would ask her that morning. I was called (an hour before my appointment) and told no, Dr. Kosta refused to see me. While I'm sure that dR. Kosta is an excellent cardiologist, and I know that my symptoms that led to my diagnosis were under the cardiological umbrella, I don't need Dr. Kosta as my cardiologist. I need someone who can figure out what caused me to have those cardiological symptoms and I KNOW if she had just taken on my case, that she could have worked with my cardio and neuro and figured it out. She could have used her knowledge of cardiology and talked to my neuro (her colleague) and maybe even rule out my diagnosis. Now everything will just take longer and who knows? Maybe I will die before the pieces of the puzzle are put together. I just wanted to be healthy for my 4 and 5 year old. For my husband. So thanks.

Dr. Kosta saw my daughter. She is one of the nicest persons I have ever met. So patient and kind, a real people person. In a world we we are becoming just an insurance number she treated my daughter as a person, a human being. God Bless Dr. Kosta, I wish all doctors were like you. You should give a seminar on how to treat patients!

Dr. Kosta is incredibly caring. She is the rare cardiologist who takes the time to understand her patients as human beings.
