Dr. Hanbali evaluated me for chronic back after a fracture 5 years ago treated with a fusion. My pain never improved. I was offered removal of screws by 2 other spine specialists without any guarrantees that my pain will improve. The Dr. was patient explaining to me that removing the screws will not improve the pain, despite my insistence on the surgery. He spent over 40 mins convincing me that surgery is not the optimal treatment for me. I respected his dedication and his opinion and I thank him for taking the time to guide me through the right decision.

I fractured my back 5 years ago and had surgery to repair it. However, my back has never improved. I was seen by 2 spine specialists recently who recommended surgery but did not guarantee that my pain will improve after removing the screws. Dr. Hanbali spent over 40 minutes with me convincing me, despite my insistence on surgery, that conservative therapy is more beneficial in my condition. I eventually understood his explanations and actually agreed with him. Wish the other surgeons took the time to explain to me the problem. Thank you Dr. Hanbali for your precious advice.
