Dr. Fadi Layous, MD

Dr. Layous is a very knowledgeable and thorough. He takes the time to get to the source of the patient’s issues and prescribe the appropriate treatments. His staff is very accommodating and helpful. Had a serious equipment issue that was not being addressed by a local provider. His staff listened to my concerns and were able to resolve my issues to my satisfaction. The respiratory therapists were amazing. Thank you!

Dr Layous is a good doctor but his office/nurses are not on it. They cant fax a report in 3 weeks and no one ever answers the phone. Leave a message and they wont call you back? :(

I moved to the area about two years ago and went to this physician in order to figure out why I was taking my CPAP mask off at night in my sleep. It was suggested that I have a CPAP titration to verify my pressure was correct and for me to get an APAP. I had the CPAP titration and it said the pressure I needed was 14. I was given a new mask and a apap with a pressure range between 12 and 16 by the respiratory therapist at the physicians office. To be honest the woman was very rude and I already knew more about the Phillips Dreamstation than she did. I was told that within a 90 day period I had to be compliant at least for a continuous 30 day interval and to have a follow up appointment 30 days later. I told her about my issues and she said stated that they would be willing to work with me. I scheduled my follow up and went as planned. Well the result was I was still taking my CPAP mask off at night and that my APAP was basically going straight to 16 as quick as possible and just… staying there until I took it off. I asked why this wasn't shown in my CPAP titration and got no answer. Dr. Layous requested the pressure be changed to a new range 14 to 20 and not to give up. While disappointed since I already had spent a lot of money and still have no answer I was okay. As I was leaving I asked about supplies since my machine keeps telling me in needs a new filter. Then came the respiratory nurse who humiliated me in the middle of the lobby by saying you were compliant so your insurance isn't going to pay for your supplies. I was like you said I had 90 days then she was like that was for the apap itself but for apap supplies you have to be compliant within 30 days and that I was not complaint. I was like well I was not told that. Here I offered to buy the supplies. Instead of being logical she stated that I obviously wasn't trying really hard. This infuriated me because both her and the Doctor knew the reason I was attending was because of a past issue of taking my mask off every night. I asked how was I suppose to use the machine if I was not going to get any new supplies during the next 60 days and she said that is not her issue. So here I sat with no new supplies and no solution to my problem still after spending over a 1000 dollars out of pocket at this doctor.

Only have very mild sleep apenea when on my back...they did not tell me that when I went for the machine that they said I needed When I went for my third visit to give machine back because it felt like I was suffocating I demanded the results...that doctor suggested I put a pillow behind my back ....now they want to charge me 400 dollars... What a SCAN
