Dr. Farayi Jonnes Mbuvah, MD

Let me start out by saying I am well aware of the opioid crisis in this country being that I am in the mental heath field however Dr Farayi Mbuvah is quite the self righteous doctor that prides himself in regards to his "fighting the opioid crisis" identity meanwhile disregarding the pain his patients are suffering. With this being said, if you choose this provider he will provide you with a 2 week prescription for your pain and despite taking it as directed he will not refill your prescription and his nurse will inform you that you will have to suffer with your pain until they can schedule you for a nerve block and/or injections which in my case is still in the works. I have been waiting almost a month now and still nothing. Their advice to me was to go to the ER if my pain is still an issue (of course it is still an issue! This is the reason I am your patient!). I have clients that have complained that due to their chronic pain, they have been made to feel as if they are drug addicts… at every doctor appointment be it an orthopedic, a pain management doctor, and/or a primary care provider and now I can completely empathize with them. The health care system has turned on us and it is very disturbing to me specifically how it relates to those of us who are suffering in pain silently while PAIN MANAGEMENT PROVIDERS like Dr Farayi Mbuvah refuse to keep in mind their duty to do no harm to patients. This doctor is doing harm and it is not ok. This is my first experience with pain management therefore I am not sure if this is the norm but if so those of us in pain are in big trouble. This doctor and his nurse are very charming at first but keep in mind what I have shared.

Excellent and caring physician. Dr Mbuvah took great care reviewing my condition, explaining treatment options and scheduling my procedure in a timely and efficient manner. He has a kind, thoughtful and educated approach to providing patient information. Very pleased to have him as a trusted provider for care.
