Dr. Farid J. Kehdy, MD

Dr Kehdy was very patient and forthcoming with info before surgery. Very reassuring before surgery. His whole team was great. He told what recovery would be and what I should do and everything went just as he said.

I was referred to Dr. Kehdy by my Gastroenterologist. From the 1st day I met Dr. Kehdy, I felt a trust that has not wavered. He is prompt for appointments, gets straight to the subject and explains as he questions and is very courteous and kind. After the various tests to determine which procedure would be best for my particular symptoms, he introduced one I had never heard of, the Linx . It has been 9 days since he put it in place with laparoscopic tools, plus repaired another problem inside. He told me exactly what to expect and when and why. Much respect for Dr. Kehdy.

I first met Dr. Kehdy in the surgery prep room, he was kind enough to take me on Saturday directly from the emergency room into surgery. He was friendly and confident. The surgery went well and my recovery has been fast, which says a lot for a 78 year old . I appreciate the services of Dr.Kehdy and his group of resident surgeons all very nice people. I feel fortunate to have Dr Kehdy.

I can't say enough about the care I received from Dr. Kehdy and his surgical staff. Each of them, especially Dr. Kehdy, went out of their way to listen to my concerns and respond to them. I can't thank him enough for going above and beyond.

Surgery is never a goal, but Dr Kehdy and the staff he works with in the office and at University were excellent. I would certainly recommend him for general surgery needs. Robotic inguinal hernia repair.

He had been my surgeon for a couple of years, after fixing my hernia. When I saw again 2 months ago for a surgical problem not related to his specialty, he went the extra mile to make sure I see the oncologists promptly. He followed up frequently on me since the procedure. His bedside manner is impeccable. Very understanding and empathic. I would trust him to operate on any one of my family. Excellent surgeon!

Dr. Kehdy is a wonderful surgeon and told us up front the good and the bad of the surgery before it became an emergency. We trusted his ability to do what was best in our situation and we did the correct thing buy choosing him as our family surgeon!

I just had my surgery I am 2 weeks post op. I had to have a hernia repair done and i was very scared to the point of panic attacks. The surgery had been attempted prior on Fort Knox and the experience was horrifying I hope no one ever goes through, anyway dr Kehdy was very patient with me through all of it. He was answered all my questions with respect and had compassion with what I had gone through, the surgery went off without any problems and my hospital stay was at u of l. U of L was wonderful to me , everyone was so sweet and caring through the surgery and after . I really wanted to see Dr Kehdy before leaving the hospital and was told by nurses he wouldn't be able too but the great doctor he is he did come and check on me and made sure I was comfortable with going home, he made no rush of me leaving the hospital too soon which was really nice. Dr Kehdy had a wonderful bed side manner. I just had my two week check up from surgery and he was really caring and listened to my… questions , everything looked and I had no signs of infection. Dr Kehdy made sure to tell me if I have any problems from here on out to call and they would get me in to be seen. I would highly recommend Dr Kehdy he is a very caring doctor , if your looking for a good surgeon he would be the one to go too!!! Thank you Dr Kehdy you are a truly wonderful surgeon

I went to Dr Kehdy in 2014 for many issues. I have Polymyositis with over lapping Scleroderma. My esphagus no longer works. I was in 24 hour a day agony. The surgery has been such a blessing. I still have a few issues but at least have relief. He was nothing but wonderful while I had my hospital stay. I highly recommend this Doctor!

I was sent to him for a failed previous Nissan for my reflux. Dr Kehdy was excellent. he explained the procedure to me in detail and spent a long time explaining the expectation after surgery. his bedside manners are great. He did the operation with the laser. the operation was successful and my reflux is again resolved. I have regained my quality of life. He is awesome
