Dr. Farshad M. Ahadian, MD

Dr. Ahadian fixed a chronic pain situation I'd been in from an airline accident. I'd been in pain for 30 yrs. by the time I saw him. I got injections about every 6 mos., for a couple of years, apart until I no longer needed them. That was 2 years ago. Totally changed my life. Am so very grateful.

Dr. Ahadian is skilled at treating pain in multiple places in the body. Both my daughter and I have seen him for years and can’t say enough good things about him. He treats me for pain I have from my trigminal nerve that was damaged during a surgery about ten years ago. It’s a very hard area to treat because if you hit the wrong part of the nerve or go too. Far, I wouldn’t be able to speak or eat properly. He uses real-time X-ray and always helps me tremendously. My daughter would sing his praises as well because he seems to have permanently fixed the pain from internal scar tissue in her thigh. The previous reviewers say he is uncaring or “doesn’t have time”. It’s true, on appt days, he does have other patients to see and may not be real chatty. But he listens. And takes all that information to form a really good plan of attack for your pain. Just because he doesn’t do it in that 15 min window spots allow him, doesn’t mean he didn’t listen.

I have bee n seeing him over 10 years off and on. He is a good listener and has the experience to help you with multiple problems.. Good personality!

I am a disabled Vet of over 17 years and I have been through many physicians who pass my pain and problems off as a waste of their time. Dr. Ahadian was the 1st doctor to truly research all possible means of my injury. He has been my Pain Doctor for about 3 years with the VA; however, I have had to move my pain management to his UCSD Clinic (as the VA is becoming overwhelmed by the influx of Vets). He has been the most caring doctor I have ever had and has explained my condition in detail. I am currently working with him at UCSD to resolve pain issues that the VA would have taken years to get around to. His UCSD appointments are fast and very thorough. I don't where to begin Thanking him for his persistence. It has been a 17+ year roller coaster, and at age 37, I am ready to start the life I have been missing out on.

I had some spinal injections done by this doctor. He botched the last one, I could tell he messed up when he was doing it. I knew there were some risks. But when I call back the next day and let him know I was in severe pain, he did not offer any advice or medication or explanation. This is why I would never recommend this doctor to anyone--he is not a caring person. This was several years ago though, so perhaps he's changed, but I doubt it.

I have had lower back problem for almost 16 years as a result of a traumatic fall in the U.S. Army. I have been through many procedures, physical therapies and medications over the years. Dr. Ahadian has done more in 1 year to alleviate my condition with Epidural Steroid Injections and most recently a Percutaneous Laser Disc-Decompression. He followed-up with me and has been there for me post-op. I applaud his awesome efforts and I am looking forward to a pain free future.

Dr. Farshad Ahadian treated me for chronic leg pain after an injury. The treatment was extremely helpful and I improved significantly. He also gave me very good advice for managing my long-term trigeminal neuralgia. He was highly knowledgeable, caring, and very professional. I would recommend him to anyone who has hard-to-treat, chronic pain.

Such a crappy physician. God leave your aire of royalty at the door when you are dealing with patients. He would not consider past treatments. I knew I had just neck/shoulder muscular issues that could be trigger point injections. But no Dr. Ahadian knows best supposedly because he thought I was just some patient (not another M.D.). Well Dr. Ahadian wanted to redo a MRI even though one was done two weeks prior, he said because he didn't want to go by an old report. Then would not take a look at the prior MRI that I had with me, because his time is limited. Dr. Ahadian if your time is so limited to look at a MRI a patient brings in to you then you really should pick another career. Maybe one that would get you a little grounded and take away that egotistical I am god physician attitude.
