Dr. Farzan Shirazi, MD

Dr. Shirazi was the best OB. I had a good experience under his care. He was full detailed and very approachable. Him and my husband had a very good conversation about funny stuff. He was my OB doctor for more than 3years. His office was fine, waiting time was excellent and not even 30mins of wait. I considered him as HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Dr. Shirazi is the NICEST, most caring doctor you could hope for in this day and age. The people that complain here about his candor and his humor just aren't used to seeing doctors that actually care about their patients as human beings. All doctors need to take a lesson in bedside manner from this man. I wish he still delivered babies. Then my life would be complete!

-Wrong diagnosis (which was a BIG deal)-lost my test results and did not perform the right test multiple times-argued about performing the test that needed to be done - thank god i went to another doctor to find out what was wrong (again, A BIG BIG DEAL)-UNCOMFORTABLE in the office, especially for a gynogood luck!

dr. shirazi stuck the probe in my vagina and when i complained that it hurt, he said, "if you're sexually active, how can this possibly hurt?"at the end of my visit, dr. shirazi told me that i needed to find a man who wanted to marry me instead of just have sex with me. he had not asked me if i slept with men or women, nor had he asked me anything about my relationships. i did not enlighten him with information on my longterm, monogamous, committed relationship. i found his assumptions appalling, especially for a "women's doctor."

This doctor gave me lots of sex advice during the consultation, which was strange because I did not ask for it. I was not sure how accurate or knowledgeable he actually was. He told me to "avoid" a lot of sexual activities because they were not healthy for me, and no one had ever told me anything like that before. I am not so sure this was appropriate, nor am I sure he was correct. It sounded like old wives' tales. I was not very comfortable with any of it, but I was not sure how to tell him how ridiculous it all sounded. Has anyone else had this kind of experience? I think he was way to involved in discussing intimate details of my sex life and then basically telling me not to do certain things. By the way, I'm married.
