Dr. Fayaz Ahmed Faiz, MD

My husband was referred to this doctor by his PCP. Upon the 1st visit my husband had some reservations but decided to give him a try. After the 2nd visit to have a test done, I began to have my own reservations. After my husband signed medical release forms we were told we needed to call and request medical records. One of the medical records (images) they were requesting was actually at the imaging center right next door. One of the young ladies there said she would go next door and get those herself, which was very nice of her. We were told that we would have to wait on the medical records to come in before we could get his results from the test. I logged into the medical portal and saw the results and Dr. Faiz's diagnosis. My husband had an upcoming appointment with another specialist and I brought those results to that specialist and he said, "No!! Your husband definetly does not have that!" We kept our 3rd appointment with Dr. Faiz and when we got there the young lady asked did we… have the imaging from next door, which they were supposed to have gotten the day of the 2nd visit. She said I'll get it for you after I told her they said they would get it from the imaging ctr from next door. When Dr. Faiz came into the room and looked at the images he started telling us what was on the disc (which was from 9 months ago) and giving us the diagnosis of what my husband had surgey for months ago. He went on to tell us that we would need to see these different specialist to correct the issue he sees on the images. I told this doctor, "Sir this is from 9 months and my husband has already had the surgery!" That lead me to believe Dr. Faiz never read his chart/medical records that I know for a fact his office received. I showed him the screen shot of HIS diagnosis and he said my husband does not have that and that was not a diagnosis from him (I printed a copy of it). Also, during that 3rd visit he asked my husband was he a diabetic, which my husband answered no. Faiz finished his "visit" with my husband. We walked out of the room and as I was standing there waitng on them to give me the CD. Dr. Faiz told his nurse the diagnosis for my husband which he included my husband as having TYPE 2 DIABETES. I said, "Wtamait is this diagnosis for MY husband? My husband does not have diabetes!!!!!!!!" Faiz looked at me and said he's not diabetic? I said, "NO we just told you that in the exam room sir!!" This office needs to do BETTER!!

I am an RN, and I have been exposed to neurologists before visiting Dr. Faiz for my husband. He takes the time with each patient. He explains the diagnosis so simply that a child could understand it. He expresses availability, asking us to call if we had questions or needed any medication. I would refer my relatives and friends to him. He is a very fine neurologist.

I have been taking my husband to see Dr. Faiz for about 2 years. He , DR. Faiz takes time to listen to all concerns then makes suggestions or changes. He is one of a kind Doctor with old fashion ways. His staff is very professional.

This Man is a typical doctor with a God complex . He doesn't return calls, and my husbands that in the hospital for five days waiting on one test .

I am grateful for the care that Dr. Faiz, provide to me. Outstanding beside matters.

Dr. Faiz said I would never get any better (2 years post-stroke), so therapy would be a waste. This was said to my face in the hospital following a seizure. Dr. Faiz knows nothing about the brain's ability to regenerate and form new neural pathways. Office and staff are equally demeaning.

This office is BEYOND ridiculous. I wish i could just say one person is the problem....the whole entire office staff needs to be replaced.

The most memorable : His office staff told me six months for an appointment. I called back on a different phone line and told them I had Aetna Ins. suddenly I could get in. I am on medicaid. I will not be discriminated against. After I read Reviews. I am so grateful I did not see him. Who needs a Dr. like that?

Very personable and knowledgeable. Only drawback is he is overbooked.

Hurt @ work. Dr faiz ordered PT, traction, aspirin. When pain remained he threatened me with a myelogram if i didnt return to work. Tried & failed so he did myelogram & diagnosis still eluded him. That dye caused adhesive arachnoiditis & a tethered cord resulting in my lower spinal cord, cauda equina, dying slowly & i get to feel it all. A week later a NS found exploded discsÃ?2 & leaking spinal fluid requiring grafts & 4 surgeries. Ive had excruciating pain for 20+ years & theres no way to fix what the dye did so i will be like this until death. My covering over spinal cord like wet kleenex from L1to S1 all bc of dr faiz threatening me with myelogram & all my spinal nerves are scarred to dura for a test that was worthless to him in diagnosing me.
