Dr. Faye S. Lundergan, MD, FAAP, Pharm D

Dr Faye and her office in Petaluma was a joke. They did not keep up with required vaccinations and didn't inform families. They didn't do any follow ups. The office staff weren't very welcoming. I see that her office in Petaluma closed. They lacked in providing quality care.

I was so happy to find Dr. Faye after all of the positive reviews, but after just a few visits, I'm not even sure where to begin this review. After I called to confirm my appointment 2 days prior, I showed up for my son's physical at the confirmed day and time but was told that I was 3 hours early and needed to wait. The office is chaotic and unprofessional- there have been boxes in lieu of chairs in the waiting room since I first visited the office months ago, and client files are kept in boxes in rooms that are accessed by patients. Throughout the 2 hour appointment, the doctor quoted incorrect medical history regarding my son, restrained him for an ear exam without my consent, and as the appointment continued my son quickly lost his ability to cooperate and pay attention (he is only 5!), at which time the doctor started to throw out behavioral diagnoses including but not limited to being on the spectrum and adhd. I highly value the recommendation of medical professionals when it… comes to my children's health, but the rudeness and unprofessional nature of this practice has left me with no choice but to seek a new pediatrician.

I am not one to leave negative reviews because I know how difficult it is being a business owner and how reviews can really make a difference but this needs to be said in order to make a change. I was so incredibly grateful to find a pediatrician that was close to our house and so highly recommended by other physicians. Speaking with the front desk staff, any anyone that answered the phone sounded annoyed but I brush it off because I felt I may be misinterpreting things. When I came in for my son's appointments it seemed the same way over the phone. I felt that the receptionist and the medical assistant seemed as though doing their jobs was a nuisance to them. I wasn't going to change physicians solely because they were rude every single time we came in. There are lots of crappy people in the world and sometimes you just have to deal with them. We only saw Dr Lundergan once and every other time it was her PA's/NP's. They were kind and very knowledgeable although we had been given… incorrect information about my son's health. Dr Faye called me and was able to inform me of the mistake. That's when I decided it might be best to look elsewhere as this has happened before with myself and left me in an unfortunate medical condition. PTSD from a medical accident made me nervous to go back for my own children and with the staff being so rude I felt it was a big red flag to look elsewhere. Found another pediatrician that we liked, front desk staff was a lot more humble and felt like all around a better fit. Trying to get my son's medical records has been challenging. I was told there was a $15 charge to send them over which I feel is very high considering that a mistake was made, staff was rude, and we only had about 3-4 visits in total. Should not be an enormous amount of paperwork but I could be wrong. I called to see if the $15 charge was for faxing it over or if there was another reason and if I could avoid the fee by picking it up in person. I also wanted to speak to the doctor herself so that way I could let her know why we were leaving. When I asked all these questions the response was, "the Doctor doesn't deal with any of that and the $15 is for products used". Okay great the thing is this was stated so condescendingly as is every single interaction I have had. I still wanted to speak to the business owner because I feel that she should know how her office is being run. When I pressed again to speak to the doctor herself I was told that she wasn't in the office and that she doesn't deal with this issue. I could tell by the tone I was getting no where with this. I would still like to speak to Faye herself to let her know how the staff she hired is treating her patients. I can't be the only one dealing with this and something needs to be said. I'm not even allowed to speak to her directly and I have a feeling it's because they know something will be said. Human to human, we can have our differences and still treat eachother with respect and kindness. None of this is being shown at this establishment and it is incredibly unfortunate considering that Faye herself is well respected among her medical peers. If she were to clean up her staff, I feel her business would be highly recommended within the community.

LOVE Dr. Lundergan!! She isn't quick to medicate when not necessary but offers amazing homeopathic solutions that tend to alleviate the problem before medication is necessary. Her bedside manner is phenomenal, she takes great interest in each patient, and spends plenty of time visiting with you at each appointment. The nurses are great but the front desk staff isn't always the most friendly (they are hit or miss). All in all, I couldn't be happier with this practice.

I called to get my sick little guy into the office to be looked at the doctor or even a NP, but oh no, we are booked! I was offered to come into the office and just wait and hopefully it wouldn't be too long! The front office staff is very unhelpful, hardly acknowledging you when you walk in. Too bad there are really no other choices in petaluma.

Let's see - I love her, my husband loves her, and my son REALLY loves her, so that makes her a winner is my book! It's hard to find a doctor that really spends time with you and cares about you as an individual, not just a number, and Dr. L does just that. I really appreciate having a doctor like her close-by.

Dr. Faye always takes however much time my child needs. My daughter is medically complex and Dr. Faye reads all the reports from the specialists and communicates well with them. She takes the time to talk to both me and my child. She's even sat on the floor to talk to my daughter. She is patient with a very uncooperative patient and really takes the time to get to know my daughter both medically and socially. She cares about my daughter's well being and is willign to help us choose the best path to treat her. She is also willing to tell me when she doesn't knwo the answer or a problem is out of her league, something I highly value.

After having a so-so experience with another practice in Novato, we switched here and couldn't be happier. Dr. L has a great bedside manner, spends time with you at each appointment, personally returns you phone calls, and really cares about your child. She is flexible with vaccinations and willing to take more holistic approches before being quick to prescribe medicine. All in all, I am thrilled we found her!

I wish we didn't have to move away from the area so my daughter could continue to see Dr. Lundergan. She is amazing and really cares about the patients and the parents.

Im an RN, and this staff is great on educating on my level and my husband who has no medical exepr) and makes sure we understand before we leave. they are great, and so wonderful.
