I am grateful for Dr. Gurman and his treatment. He has been very good to me and my wife. I have recommended him to many of my friends, and they have been happy too. He was able to offer treatment that was very helpful in my day to day chronic pain, and he was not pushing expensive medications or opioid medications like some have in my prior experiences.

I have been under the care of Dr. Gurman for several months. I was referred to him by a coworker who he treated as well, and she spoke very highly of him. She was right... He is compassionate and caring. He offered me options that my previous doctor did not. I have been very happy with my treatment and will continue seeing him.

In 2016 I had been seeing Sean Sanderson for my back issue which had been so bad that I could barely walk. Did my MRI and had expected Dr Sanderson to give the report but he didn't. Enter Dr. Felix Gurman and he told me he wanted to do some shots on my back one on each side of my back to alleviate the bulging discs, he never told me the name of the medicine, never told me what could go wrong. Only told me he had a 90 percent success rate. I trusted him and the first sets of shots were done. I felt a little bit sick but not bad, informed them and they said sometimes it takes three sets before someone feels better. I did the second shots and went home to begin experiencing migraines again which had stopped for quite a long time before this. Called up crying because the pain intensified and was given a steroid pack which did nothing for the pain. Then on may 18th 2016 the third set of shots happened because he again said sometimes it takes three sets before I could be better. But I… didn't get better, I got worse. I went he feeling absolutely horrible and was in bed by six. I woke up two hours later with my hands falling asleep for the first time ever with me laying on the same position I had always slept in. By my appointment with him I was in so much pain and advised him my meds no longer helped and what had been going on and he told me that it couldn't have been his shots that did this to me and that I had something else going wrong with me. But it turned out that in my email it showed I had sensory nerve damage on the one that was preformed after I had done the shots, nothing else had happened to me before, during or after the shots to cause damage, so it had to be the shots. I now refuse to see Dr Gurman because be cant be a man and own up to what he did to me.

Shocked to see such aggressive negative reviews about my pain doctor. He has been nothing but kind to me and my family over the years. He had diagnosed me and provided quality, timely care for back pain. Injections have worked like a charm though sometimes uncomfortable. Sounds like a lot of people have too much time on their hands to complain about not getting enough pills.

Felix fabricates facts, and when asked to substantiate his claims, he refuses. Felix is an absolute atrocity to humanity, as he is only worried about performing whatever visit brings him the most profit, not what is in the best interest of the patient.

I have been going to Smart Pain Management for over 3 years. I have seen the same person for most of my visits. My last visit I had to see Dr. Gurman. I waited for over an hour until he barged into the exam room with out knocking and sat down in front of me. He never asked how I was doing, he just went right into speaking to me about my urine test that came back positive for suboxone ( a sublingual film medication) that my husband has been prescribed. Before I could even get a word out he said " it can not be transferred through skin". I asked him if it could from kissing and he said " I don't know' then said I had to submit another urine test and walked out. He mumbled something as he left the room. I did not receive my prescriptions for my meds nor did he offer any thing to help me with my pain issues. I called in and they did send in a script 5 days later for 1/2 the dosage.

He's very attentive and professional. Treats me with respect, which is sometimes rare at other pain centers.
