Dr. Fernando E Coste-Delvecchio, MD

Dr. Coste Delvecchio scraped and analyzed my left kidney at James Haley VA hospital and removed a kidney stone from my right ureter. I consider him an outstanding doctor. Highly recommended.

I am not a Doctor, but I am a Medical Professional with two degrees and numerous medical certifications. I am also a former United States Marine, and since I am a Veteran I get my healthcare from the Veterans Affairs because its free. I had a brain injury in the USMC and suffer from residuals, one of which is neurogenic bladder- I have trouble urinating, even when I really have to go and my bladder is full. I had a bladder and kidney ultrasound and the kidney stones showing up in my kidneys big enough that the Radiologist even made arrows pointing to them. This South American Doctor told me the Radiologist was wrong and that it was "just artifact" and proceded to end the appointment without prescribing me the pelvic floor training he was supposed to as per the Chief of Urology at the VA. Later I read his progress notes and in the progress note he wrote the truth that there were kidney stones. I am not sure why he felt the need to lie to my face, other than to deny my the pelvic floor training, but what a jerk. I will avoid him in the future. Avoid this Doctor! Anyone wbo would blatantly lie to a patient and even deny kidney stone the Radiologist even placed arrows at- is a pyschopath.

Very professional. Explained all choises available. Even followed up personally with a phone call! He is great! I recommend him!
