Dr. Francisco Daniel Medrano, MD

Things went very well when I first starting going to Dr. Medrano. But the last visit, he did NOT allow enough time, even though I gave the reason when I scheduled the appointment. Then I couldn't get a timely follow up visit. I ended up having to use urgent care, staffed by a nurse practitioner.

Dr Medrano appears to be a good doctor but he is part of a group called Primecare Medical Group. This is the worst run service in Texas and probably all of the U.S. You can make phone calls and send emails to the doctor over their portal, but they are never answered. When you call the doctor office it rings to a completely different office and you have to go through multiple people and then you end up on a voice machine. Phone messages are never answered. So you have to continue calling day after day and hope that you can get to someone that can help you, but that is rare and you actually have to drive to the doctor office to get a response to your request. I have never seen something so poorly managed. I would think it is only a matter of time that he is hit with a malpractice suit for neglect to his patients. I cant wait to get my records and move to another doctor, but can imagine it is going to be a nightmare to go through this process. Safe yourself the grief and find a… professional that knows how to run a practice.

I was sent to Dr. Medrano's office , when my primary care physician was unable to see me. I was impressed by the office in general, staff, etc., but particularly impressed with Dr. Medrano. He was professional , direct, attentive, and caring. He took the time to answer my questions, and educate me regarding medication choices. Considering that I have been in the medical field for over twenty years, I was pleasantly surprised to have discovered Dr. Medrano, and would feel confident recommending him.
